Hey!
I am trying to download a few games on my flashed switch (DB Installer). When downloading the nsp files from nswpedia, I open my DBI and run the MTP responder so that I can add files to the switch SD files. After pushing the files on my SD card using an android file transfer (I have a mac), the game is installed. But when I try to open it, it says that i need to have the game to play it (and therefor asks me to buy it on eshop) and on the DBI, when I browse the installed applications, the game is installed but is completely red. Can someone please help me! If you need more information and/or screenshots I will gladly provide them. Thank you so much!!!

Imo it sounds like you installed them on sysMMC and tried to play them when connected to the internet.

At the last step of installation for my switch. I just have to launch atmosphere, but it isn't showing up in the launch options. The files are all in the right place after checking so I'm at a complete lost.

CFW (emuMMC) is what you want to launch to load Atmosphere on your emuMMC. The first is Atmosphere on your sysMMC which you probably want to stay away from unless you're 100% positive you know what you're doing. The Stock option is for when you want to launch into non-modded sysMMC.

Hi, I just configured tinfoil to open nx and no names or images of the titles show up. I can only see the codes, so filtering is impossible.

I tried changing shops, the region, and updating the time.
Any suggestions?

I downloaded Skyrim but apparently there wasn't enough space so it gave out corrupted data error, I uninstalled it and cleaned the orphan files but now tinfoil downloads very slowly. It's always at 0.1mb/s. How can i fix it?

Hi there, is it possible to change the SD Card to a bigger one (512gb) for my hacked switch?
If so, please could somebody point me to a good up to date guide.
Also, how can I find out whether I installed the homebrew OS on my Nand or on the SD card.

Thank you

Hi.

I have a v1 Switch that I softmodded around 5-6 years ago, it is currently on 10.0.2 ReINX (3.0). Is there a proper guide anywhere that will walk me through how to fully update this thing without cocking it up? All I see around the net are some throw away comments with no real substance and I don't trust they are the most detailed and will likely be missing a step somewhere.

I went the emuMMC route and since it has been 5 years it is not exactly all fresh in my memory. It's been sat in a drawer for years but I fancy using it a bit more now that I have a bit more free time. I see that ReINX is no longer supported so it would need to be updated to Atmosphere?

Apologies if I have missed somewhere that has a guide pinned, couldn't see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
With reference to what I have asked above, it actually says emmc disabled in Hekate. Considering I had already set it up with ReiNX and have previously swapped an sd card just by simply copying files across, can I just start from here and use a new 512GB SD card while following these steps onwards? Will I run into any issues if I do?

switchhacks->userguide->partitioning_sd

I have made a backup of the sd and have it all on the original 128GB sd card I've been using. I don't really care for any of the games etc as I can get all that back later. Also made a NAND backup.

Hello, I've updated my OFW to 20.1.5 using the official Nintendo way (I've updated to the latest hats and done the sigpatches too) however when I boot gives the error code 2005-0005. When booting cfw it gives out error code: 2005-0005(0xa05) program:0100000000001f firmware:20.1.5 (atmosphere 1.9.1)

Hi CoolMe, thank you for responding. I stumbled at the first instruction.

  1. Tap on the emuMMC button.
  2. Under emuMMC Info & Selection, check the text next to Type.
    • If you have one it should be either SD Raw Partition or SD File.

Beneath emuMMC Info and Selection on my console it says X Disabled emuMMC is disabled and eMMC will be used for boot.

Please can you tell me what this means. Can I continue to follow the guide?

Thanks,

The thing is that is a second hand switch (with picofly) so it already cane with exosphere and 90dns, so I believe i wont be able to restore the original one. If I use a program like tegraexplorer I could do it right ? But my question is it of it will create any conflict with 9dns or something

I have 90dns and airplane mode, I use emunand by the way.
So maybe I just have to wait for the coming update of sys patch ?
It's strange because it's the only game that it's giving me this problem
Sorry for bumping, but did you ever figure this out? I cannot, for the life of me, get Yakuza Kiwami to launch after a reboot after installing it.

I've tried everything I can think of and find online, and I'm about ready to just give up on this game because every other game works fine.

Edit: I found out from a random comment on reddit that installing the ticket separately with DBI (specifically with this game for some reason) might fix it. I'm redownloading it now, I'll update this if it works

Update: So, the way I fixed error 2123-0011 when trying to open Yakuza Kiwami after a reboot was to install the NSP file from DBI. I got the NSP by turning on the option in Tinfoil to save files after a network install, installed the game from Tinfoil, deleted the game, and then installed the game from the saved file with DBI.

Means you don't have emuMMC.
fwiw, emuMMC stands for emulated nand, basically you set up your sd card in such a way to mimic the Switch's nand, and leaving the sysnand untouched (stock)
Can I continue to follow the guide?
yes, it says it's for both emuMMC and no emuMMC

you got the new ban from nintendo, always keep in mind is dangerous to update to tha latest fw.

Hi all, I can't boot into Stock/OFW after updating Stock/OFW to latest version via Nintendo. I get the Nintendo logo briefly and then just a black screen. No error code. This also happens if I boot Stock through Hekate. On a separate SD card I have EmuMMC set up and running Atmosphere on 1.19. That is still working fine. It's really just Stock/OFW. Would appreciate any help!

Cool thanks, the new card runs fine..

Should I be setting up an emuMMC instead of using the system nand? -- I am not bothered about online play but read somewhere that using the CFW on the Switch Nand can cause issues?

While just trying to install an XCI of Raidou Remastered through DBI, I ran into an unexpected error. I'm confronted with a transfer aborted error. I have a habbit of using NxFileViewer to check the signature and hash validity of my NSP and XCI files. Strangely enough, the file looked OK since both checks passed, yet I got this error nevertheless.

Does anyone know what's wrong here? I find it disconcerting if a file could be faulty while it's signature and hash claim its valid.

I notice you're using v658 of DBI. I would try to use the latest version (796) to see if you get the same results. You should manage to find the install menu, even though it's in Russian language.
