So I have a Switch that was set up with Atmosphere and emu-nand quite a while ago (when I go to settings on emunand, it says 13.2.0 and AMS 1.2.5|E) , and my son wants to update so he can add some new games and DLC that were released after we set up Atmosphere the last time. Looking now, it seems like there are some other patches that need to happen from when we originally did it? Given the changes, is there anything I should set up BEFORE updating Atmosphere? Looks like the most recent version has some glitches, should I go back one or two versions (if I don't need the latest release)?

The last time we messed with it, I had gotten a AIO update program "installed" from HamletduFromage (don't want to break rules by posting a link when new). Not sure if this or something similar (found SwitchWAY as well from a search) are still the best way to move forward, or if there is a better option that has everything in one spot.

Trying to get everything lined up before I start, as the switch has a dead backlight (turns on, but the screen is very dark, and I use a flashlight to see it when it isn't connected to the dock).

Edit; Doublepost for some reason, sorry.

Bro recently I changed my time & date because it was off months but now i'm having issues of moving files using tinfoil or usb file transfer tool the files don't show up If I move with tinfoil & the usb file transfer tool doesn't even do file transfers, It opens the sd but doesnt move files, If I do paste nothing happen, also I tried the hekate usb tool it transfers the file but it doesnt show up in my dbi installer, do you know how to fix this, also I don't know what date & time it was before so I can't change back as well

As the the other person stated, I think this is not the place to ask about that. I'll just say this, if you're trying to install xci/nsp you don't need to transfer the files to your sd card before installing them. Just use DBI MTP mode and install them straight from your PC. It's just drag/drop to install with no file to delete afterwards on your sd card. If you're still having trouble you'll want to ask for help in the proper location. :)

If im using IPS patches for games and dvr-patches, then I also need to change to Hekate package3 method right? Instead of fusee with sys-patch

You could use:

Modified version of fusee with sigpatches
Unmodified fusee with sys-patch
Sigpatches with pkg3 method
Sys-patch with pkg3 method

I recommend the last option. I have no sigpatches at all on my sd card.

If i decide to go with syspatch with pk3 method and wanted to delete sigpatches should I delete:
kip1patch=nosigchk
patches.ini
All Exef patches and all Kip patches?

I don't recall if I deleted patches.ini, it's been a while now. But yes, you can delete the one line and also all exef and kip patches. You could always rename patches.ini to something like patches.ini.bak and see if it all still works. If so, you can delete it. If not, just change the name back. :)

i have CFM version 19.0.1 and AMS version 18.0, is it still possible to get sigpatches for this version? Sorry im very new and im not sure if i can use the sigpatches for firmware 20 or if i have to use sigpatches specifically for version 19. Are there ones for 19 and if yes are they on this thred?

The latest atmosphere will work on older firmwares so install the latest atmosphere and the latest sigpatches and you should be good to go.

Need help.
Switch crashed when trying to use cheats.

I managed to update to fw 2.1.0 along with ams+hekate and everything
Managed to open Tesla menu
but when I open the cheat menu of Tesla, my switch crash

Error Code: 2001-0123 (0xf601)
Program: 420000000007E51A

I need help with something, after updating ams to 1.9.1 (no problems) and the firmware to 20.1.0, all my games have blank icons

I cant start anything

I updated because I had Tinfoil auto update on me and it said firmware version was too low or something and now I'm stuck like this

Tried lots of new stuff I didn't have to do for previous versions, like use a different version of fusee, I downloaded the new sys-patches and sig patches to no avail

Any help is welcome

EDIT: Had to factory reset and lost all games, awesome

SINCE ATMOSPHÈRE commit 46a4357 YOU WILL NEED a modified fusee.bin to be able to load sigpatches on boot

Hekate with PKG3 (FSS0) config will load the patches.

or you can use SYS-Patch Sysmodule.

By the way here is the fusee.bin with apply patch reenabled.

remove the download accelerator you have, GBATemp do not allow any of them.
I’m on 19 with everything working fine. I need this modified file for sig patches to work on 20?

What’s the difference? I’ve been using sigpatches since FW6. Is the procedure different?
As stated on the OP

Sigpatches are applied by Hekate/Atmosphere at start, SYS-Patch is a SYSMODULE which run at start of console and modify the memory applying patches.

may be your card is fake, on Hekate Issues you can read @CTCaer states long cards are supported now.

if you can test your card and you are completely sure you card is not fake (I am almost sure it is) you can contact to @CTCaer on github issues or discord and ask for help.

Backup all files on your SD card on your pc, format it to fat 32 using fat32 format (https://gbatemp.net/download/gui-format.33869/) then test your sd card using H2Testw (https://www.heise.de/download/product/h2testw-50539) or from Downloads section https://gbatemp.net/download/h2testw.39119/ (THAT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME)
