With bad update is it possible to remove your main xbox 360 account with purchased games on it but keep the games installed to load them up with bad update instead?

I don't know if the 360 removes all installed data, that belongs to the account you want to remove.

But if it doesn't, you can do what you said BUT you have to launch bad every time you want to use your content, since you have to disable all license checks.

If it does remove everything, you'd have to install all the content again.

Wanted to say thank you for the help everything went fine. For anyone in the future doing the same thing you can delete your account and the games you have installed will still load up and play since the console keeps the licenses for the purchased games on the system itself for other users and accounts to play them.

As long as you do not factory reset your system they will stay there.

This looks suspiciously familiar. Be cautious if you decide to try this because we have seen something like this before which claimed the same thing, but the creator took it down because they thought it might possibly brick the console.

Edit: Don't use this. It contains nothing but a cpukey.txt and a default.xex in the BadUpdatePayload folder. It does not even touch the exploit itself so it would not even be able run anyway.

After six years? This cannot be a coincidence considering the early 2025 present we got from GrimDoomer.

Unless this addresses the post 2025 calendar issue.
Yes I was thinking the same. It said it just adds features to the dash, like ads, but who knows really what is under the hood.

If they have the update for USB installation someone could look though the .xex files to see if there are any references to Bad Update. I probably will download it if I can just to look through it.

I wish the 360 had better documentation. I'm not a person that can write a software exploit yet (really any time soon.)
But I was wondering if the 360 supports warm-booting, since it would be interesting to see how they implemented it.

Since bad update seems like it won't get any faster or more likely to succeed. But if there was a way to add even semi permanence, it be worth something. can't do a cold boot exploit. But maybe after using bad update, right as the console is shutting down, inject a warm boot one...
Edit: to be perfectly clear, it all depends on how Microsoft did it/handled it. There's a very good chance that it's not an option.

Had to reboot my console to progress in Fallout 3 because of this glitch that you can only fix with a hard reboot

“ If you save the Cryo lab's generator for last, you might not be able to use the teleporter. This will get you locked in the lab where you must freeze the aliens and Elliott's team, with no way back to Sally! Killing Elliott or restarting the game may fix the problem. Another thing you may be able to do, and has a very high chance of working is, turning on the pip-boy light”

None of the above worked and some other forums said the only way to get the teleporter to activate is turn the console off n and on and sure enough it did the trick ;) https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Mothership_Zeta_bugs
