For some older, more obscure titles, yeah. Usually, not at all. Few times i had to ask one of the admins/maintainers of such websites to check for a certain release for me and, thankfully, in more cases that not they've managed to find what I was looking for.

EDIT: I can't remember which one I had trouble finding the files for but maybe it was some specific updates for the 60 Seconds! Reatomized and maybe a Little Briar Rose (the point -and-click adventure game made by the same studio that made Children of Silentown, really good not-so-horror point-and-click adventure game, totally recommended). Maybe it was Darkestville Castle as well, but yeah, can't really remember. I know that it took me a few days to find it. But, really, all of these titles are less popular on the Switch compared to the other platforms.
I agree that for more obscure titles, it can be harder. Some games also take a long time to be dumped, or possibly the dump is being kept in closed circles. But most of the times, they will eventually leak to us commoners. Specific game updates can also be challenging to get.

Hi folks,

I hitting a bit of a wall here and hoping to get some guidance on two questions:

background:
  • Unpatched Switch v1 (RCM)
  • OFW 20.1.1
  • Atmosphère 1.9.1
  • hekate v6.3.1 & Nyx v1.7.0

I think I was successful in modding the switch because I was able to inject Hekate and Fusee to lunch Atmosphere:
System settings: 20.1.1|AMS 1.9.1|E

Question 1:

I think I use EMUMMC for all custom firmware homebrew stuff,
What if I want to play a free game downloaded from the eShop like Rocket League or use a physical cartridges? Do i restart the switch and select "Stock sysMMC"?

Question 2:
2155-8007 error.
[Resolved, i had to delete and install the game again]
[Need to restart after installing sigpatches]

I tried researching online but I'm getting stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

hey guys could i get some help?

i was on atmosphere 19.0.0 and by accident updated my switch to 20.1.1 via the settings connected to wifi
now i cant get into rcm mode to boot hekate? it's like my switch ignores trying to inject the payload with a usb cable and Rcm jig (im pressing power and vol+ ) with tegraRCm Gui 2.6 like i normally do..
it just goes straight to stock firmware
Any help?

"Stock sysMMC" option is semi-stock mode (check here for more info). I assume that it's fine to use this option if you want to play legit games on your sysMMC, but I never personally did that as I have a spare Switch that I play my legit games on.

I'd suggest switching to sys-patch as it's easier to maintain (less files and less frequent updates). Sigpatches are fine but I've seen people running into issues a lot lately for one reason or another.

Maybe a special question this one but can't find relevant info it....

Wondering why there is a 21gb update for EA FC25 in my tinfoil?? Anyone know what this update is as the only thing i didn't install was the other language pack dlc files... Just wondering aa i can't find release note for one anywhere.

Also.... Recent updates for switch 1 games that are mainly switch 2 patches..... Do these do anything to the switch 1 versions as I few updates sitting again in tinfoil but not interested in installing them if no need!

I don't have this game, but you can read patch notes for it here.

I can't post links yet, but I Googled 'ea fc25 june patch notes' and it gave me several different links to pages & videos with that info. Including the official EA site. Edit: Dust2dust beat me by "a moment ago". :)

Not sure about the Switch 2 patches for Switch 1 games. I just installed them all anyway since they're very small sizes to download and install.

can anyone suggest any good nro for the switch being a beginner in all thank you in advance

One (imo) must have. Sphaira. :)

Edit: I guess it auto embeds links, so just click below and it will take you to the proper page.

I've got a question relating my V1 Switch.

I have a V1 unpatched switch, which I took to a repair service to repair the USB-C charging port. I'm able to put into RCM correctly. However, it's failing to be recognized by my PC in any shape or form. Even the option to send Screenshots and Videos to my PC doesn't work, and my pc doesn't pick it up. I used the same cable on my V2 switch, and it was picked up correctly by my PC, for TegraRCMGui and Transferring over screenshots and videos.

My question is that is it more likely that it's a problem with the cable, e.g. do different switch versions use the cable differently, or is it more likely to do with the repair of the USB-C charging port, and perhaps is linked to a part port/filter etc.

Thanks in advance.

hello, does anyone know how to fix this issue? I am not using anything like overlay or a plugin. It is just a clean unlocked switch running off emunand. Everything was working before (20.1.1) until there was a new update again so I updated my ofw and emunand to 20.1.5, now I get this crash at least twice this week, I only noticed it happens when wifi is on. Everything is update, atmosphere, hekate, syspatch. I am not sure how to reproduce it because the crash randomly accurs

Quick question— I got game banned on Splatoon 3 for save editing 2 yrs back, if I transfer my account onto another switch and not transfer Splatoon 3's data will I still get banned? I can play other games online fine.

definately try another cable. I had one cable that worked well on a V1, but not on my 2 other oleds and vice versa. Atleast, then you can rule out that possibility

It is strange, I have a USB-C cable I use for my meta quest which was advertised as high transfer speeds and was fairly expensive, and even that didn't seem to be work. I'll try a couple more as well, is there any advice on what kind of cables I should be looking at?

Just any good quality cable that was both data and power lines. Most phone cables should be "good"

I feel as though it isn't the cable then. I used the cable that came with my phone (Pixel 9), one that came with my Meta Quest I use for Meta Link, and I've tried another two which I ordered from Amazon. I think it's probably a fault with the Switch, seeing as I had the port replaced, it may have been a faulty line or something.

hello mates, i have been out of the loop for a while but the new raidou game caught my attention but in my attempts ive caught wind that it seems sigpatches are a thing of the past and something called tesla now exists, can someone give me a quick rundown on the new process?

A bunch of games are broken on 20.1.1 right? I'm guessing I need new sigpatches which aren't out yet.

What's weird is I also have a handful of games that have a ! beside them saying they need an update / are corrupted or something ( even after a reinstall) so i'm guessing the same thing?

I am sure this is a dumb question but is it safe to use a Mig Switch on Switch 2 so long as I keep the system offline and does it still offer performance improvements?

It’s not 100% safe. Even offline, the switch will still save telemetry and send it off as soon as you have internet.
But NS2 has performance headroom so games will run better, those that have specific switch 2 patches obviously need patches.
