I hate to say it, but Trump is such an idiot fighting a war that has nothing to do with him.

I'm just like, I don't even feel worried, just tired of it. End of the world fatigue.

I was having a good time trying to forget how shit the world is. Stellar Blade was my momentary peace. So much beautiful "cake" and "tig ol' bits". And the mods! The mods are just, chef's kiss. Then here we go again. Fucking Orange Man starting more shit 🤦🏾‍♂️! Six months in and everything has turned into a pile of shit. Future generations will absolutely hate us.

Not justifying it, but Israel probably would have assaassinated Trump or given US another 9/11 if he didn't acquiesce. Knew it was coming a long time ago, and that's why I didn't vote. Not about nukes. They've been pushing for this since 1979. Pathetic

In this thread I read "Trump is good/bad", "Iran is good/bad", "Israel is good/bad" but there isn't "good" or "bad" in war - everything is bad and lost. There isn't only good or bad in human condition. This is a simplicistic dualistic thinking that is wrong.
There is only the power, and someone who wants it. Israel (not the US People who elect it) dominates the US Congress with AIPAC lobby. BRICS want a multi-polar world while the US wants to be the only one to rule the world, but the world is no more the same as it was after the WW2: now there are more powerful, military and economically, Countries such as PRC.
And we, the people, are only pawns for them - if we, the public opinion are not by their part, they release mass media indoctrination to change public opinion: Iran does not have the atomic bomb, just like Iraq had nothing of what Colin Powell lied about.

Iran's islamic regime isn't a good one - Iran was very different before the islamic revolution - but Israel (a State which has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) is responsible for having started this war, and because Israel is weaker than it thought it was and it has been bombed by Iran, now (for the above reason) the USA are forced to intervene.
And for Iran could be a disaster like it was for Iraq, Libia and Siria - all Western failures in "export democracy".

There is only one thing that we, the People, can do: pray and shout for peace

It's not always that simple, but it's also not always complicated, either. Israel attacked Iran unprovoked, fully knowing that civilians would be hurt/killed, seemingly only so that Netanyahu could keep himself in power. That puts Israel in the wrong. The US had no reason to follow their lead into a war of unilateral aggression, but Trump decided to do so anyway, seemingly only to distract from his incompetence in dealing with domestic issues. That puts the US doubly in the wrong.

They didn't even bother with a preemptive propaganda campaign this time around. Some 80% of Americans polled only a week or two ago did not want to get involved with this senseless conflict.

I know what everyone is thinking, and I'm wonder the same! If Saddam Hussein was still alive, I do indeed wonder who he would be rooting for?

Who is Irans ally ? China and Russia already say they had not part of it so who is their allies ?
Sunni Saudi Arabia will wait and nudge from afar. Quietly.

Just a reminder that Cairo Declaration on Human Rights (1990) exists for Muslims the world over, and no suprise, it's based on Sharia Law (Quran + Sunnah and Hadiths)

MAGAs for the front lines! Now is your chance to show your dear grand führer leader how much you love him! So much about the BIG peace president. P47thetic and sad! As usual he gave a shit about the congress and every democratic process, loser!

at least we don't have another wimpy left wing president in office lol
Did your hillbilly slack jawed daddy say that at the dinner table and now you're parroting it, child?

You won't be able to develop into a fully thinking adult if you just regurgitate without thinking critically.

In case things weren't surreal enough:

I just heard on the radio that Trump apparently said he doesn't want war with Iran. The bombing is just to shut down Iran's nuclear program.

Awesome.
It means that if someone drops bombs on us nuclear facilities without provocation, it won't lead to war with usa. /sarcasm

I seriously doubt he's going to send troops in. Also he has expressed multiple times that he doesn't like war because of all the death. Sounds to me like he wants to keep our soldiers safe.

OP states we are at war with Iran. We aren't at war with Iran at least not yet.

Just a special military operation?
Basically. I think Trump will state whether or not we are really at war within the next 2 weeks, still. For now we aren't landing troops or anything like that. I imagine that Iran could declare war on the US though if they haven't already.

Ahhhh so that's the art of the deal!
Definitely won't cause any problems later on. Noooope.

Also I can't imagine how other countries feel about what the states did. We already have trouble with other country relationships. They could go and just, decide to reduce exports to the US.

Well Iran is still bombing Tel Aviv. Go figure as that isn't anything new that they have started doing. Maybe it was provoked but they would bomb it anyways. Meh. Iran needs a new leader. At least for their sake they have plenty ballistic missiles, they just are using a little bit of what they have from what I read.

Iran is saying it will be closing the Straits of Hormuz. (Look it up as I'm sure some of you won't know what it is). That's a dumb strategy, lets see if it will pay off for him.

Time to fill up your gas tanks before Monday, folks.

Indeed. another excuse for opec to raise prices although the gas and oil that goes into my car more than likely comes from up near Alaska.
