I had a switch v2 & I recently bought the picofly chip to mod it, it will probably arrive soon, I never did soldering before should I try it myself? Is it easy to do it? & after soldering the chip what's the process after that? How do I mod it fully?

I don't recommend you do the install. It is an advanced soldering skill level. I recommend at minimum, a year of soldering experience to tackle this job on your own. The solder points are tiny and I'm talking .010 thousandths of an inch!

Ok once I get it installed what's the other process for the mod? & If the chip doesn't come with the files like I've seen in some videos how do I get the right files? Currently my switch is on latest firmware will it have any effect on bricking the console?

So I did manage to install the modchip myself. took me 4-5 tries, It did wore off many times then I had to resoter the points finnaly it's stable now the the hakate is working. Now I want to know if somehow in future the soter wores off again by switch falling off or other problem pops up & the modchip stops working is there a way to mod my switch now that even if modchip stops working the cfw doesn't get effected?

Most people use the emummc because then you can be an offline pirate with the emummc and
hide you pirate life with the clean/original syscfw (OFW).
If you keep your syscfw clean, then you can play legally bought games online without Nintendo banning you for life.
You can always remove the emummc (and modchip) and put the Switch back in its original state if you want to sell it again.

You cannot go online or buy anything from the eshop if you use your syscfw/OFW for any pirated games.

Had the same experience with the first Switch. Soldering was a bit tricky and then everything seemed to work. Modchip worked for several weeks, but then the chip only displayed an error code and started directly to OFW. Turns out, I used the wrong type of solder. After resoldering with another type of solder everything works. Fingers crossed.

Most soldering points should not come loose when dropping the Switch.
The only exception is that DAT0 adapter.
that is quite sensitive and might stop working.
The only alternative is the 'kamikaze' mod where you have to grind down in the PCB to expose the DAT0 line and create a permanent connection.
That is quite an adventure to do and might wreck your Switch if you grind too deep, apply too much heat or start grinding in the wrong location.

I used the solder paste & then connected it to the points, what solder wire should I use to keep it stable?

Keep in mind, that I'm no expert on this. So better wait for other infos in this thread. The one, that got loose after a while was a Sn42 Bi50 Cu8 mixture and the one that is still holding strong is Sn99 Ag0,3 Cu0,7.
In my opinion you should NOT change anything until your soldering job stops working. Why fix something when it's not broken?

I''m having issue with the switch, I want to use the tinfoil app, I tried every version of it but it doesn't work, How do I get it work? Installed the nsp version as well it shows as unknown software

bro i'm a noob to switch it's very hard to find for me, can you help me out?
This thtread is for ask suppport: https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-noob-paradise-ask-questions-here.488277/

Sadly from the HOS you can not set the RTC (real time clock) so you need to boot on to a payload to do so. I personally use Argon-NX https://github.com/Guillem96/argon-nx/releases so you can boot in to that payload (if you do not know how, ask on the noob paradise) set the RTC clock there AND THEN reajust the HOS clock

If you mean that CFW was running on the sysnand it is very likely that it will be banned even if you clear it and create an emunand for less Nintendo approved things. Once bad things have been done on the sysnand, they are there for good. No one has a reliable method of cleaning it. Even if you were to reset it and clear all the Nintendo logs, they would know the logs were cleared and that in itself can lead to a ban. It can't hurt to try though. Your first step will be to create an emunand, Then try to reset the sysnand and try to go online with official things.
