When will Switch 2 games be dumpable?

Now, I’m not trying to spark any piracy talk here, but I haven’t seen much info on whether game carts for it can be dumped yet. Has anyone heard anything?

I saw someone on Reddit claim that Mario Kart World was already dumped and posted on some sketchy Chinese site, but honestly, that seems unlikely.

DarkMatterCore mentioned that the Lotus ASIC firmware (which I’m not too familiar with) prevents access to the data, but he did say he’s planning to update the app so that Switch 2 games like Zelda can be dumped

I mean you can just connect it up with wires to like an raspberry pi or something in those lines and do a raw dump. But it is just that, a raw dump. Nothing of value really.

You know they use the Nvidia hardware to decompress/decipher game data on the fly with Switch 2, right? Any dump you get without hacking original hardware will be of the smelly brownish variety.

I heard about Mario Kart World being dumped but won't acknowledge it until reputable Scene Release Trackers confirmed it.
This not happened yet and as such I assume that this dumps are fake.

To answer your question though, dumping those cartridges won't be as trivial as plugging a USB into a computer. We have to get an idea how the communication between console and cartridge actually looks like, especially since the communication protocol changed compared to Switch 1.
Hacking the console may be a necessary step to get to dumping down the road.

Reddit is the worst place for Switch hacking sources. Too many fakes and theories for vote ups. Anything after 2 years is a safe bet. But if you only got 1 S2 you'll most likely update yours by the time an exploit surfaces.

Honestly whenever and wherever it is, I hope better people get hold of things, it's a disgrace how the switch scene was

PS2, PS3, X360, Wii, NDS, 3DS, PC, all scenes I've seen as the years go, games and everything else available with ease but these private discord shops are a disgrace and a joke

Assuming the claim is true, 1 or possibly 0.9: all sort of platforms (DSi, 3DS, PS3/4/5, was the Vita one of those?) got dumps circulating before there was any "practical application" for them and, given that point, no guarantee said dumps are complete/accurate - it took until a certain version of wooddumper (well after the launch of the 3DS) to make accurate (to current best knowledge!) dumps of DS/i games, and godmode9 to make them convenient

Nintendo Switch 2 games will be dump through internet by scene groups in about between 1 year to 3 years later to release out.

I can't wait when news on gbatemp forum release about "Scene already dumped Nintendo Switch 2 games on internet" like something like that. Then a lot of people will shout out and excite for all games which already leaked on internet! Can't wait and see what going on then Yay! Also Nintendo Switch 2 emulator will come after about 3 - 5 years when Nintendo Switch 2 life cycle is in middle cycle or after near to end of support or company will cease produce / stop making of hardware.

Time to party on when Nintendo Switch 2 games dumped and big bang / boom on internet world wide!

Ryujinx can't run Switch 2 games it's a Switch 1 emulator
