If you were wondering when exactly Pokemon Legends: ZA was coming out, then wonder no more. Nintendo has announced that the game will be launching later this year, on October 16, 2025. You'll be able to purchase an upgrade for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, as well. More information about the game will be revealed during the Pokemon Presents livestream, on July 22nd. Those that purchase Pokemon Legends: ZA through the Pokemon Center store online in the USA, Canada, and UK, will be able to get a pre-order bonus plushie of Chikorita, Totodile, or Tepig.

Ugh, I was hoping Prime 4 would launch in October instead of this half-baked game, but maybe that means it's coming in August or September instead.
I mean, worst case scenario, you have to wait 2 more months than you were expecting... you make that sound far more unreasonable than it is, I mean we've already waited 8 years as it is, what's another month or two at most, than what you've set your expectations on at this point?

GameFreak always puts their least experienced and least talented developers on Pokemon games, so it doesn't matter what direction they try to take them in, they're doomed to failure from the start.

it's sad how masuda in an interview basicly sent an open invite to rpgmxp devs to work for them, it's their fucking masters at nintendo denying that path no wonder gf is hemorrhaging talent and the games been sub par since gen 6 story wise personally gen 4 and 6 i enjoyed because of a dark plot in a core game i feel they should release 4 versions every console gen (2 are kid friendly and 2 are geared to the older fans (darker plots, older MC's/Rivals etc (similar to BW/BW2)

I refused to touch the Arceus game specifically because of how much I *hate* the gen 4 and 5 regions.
Pokemon gen 4 was one of my favorite gens! But I dropped the Arceus game, because the game wouldn't shut up for a few minutes and let me play. I got tired of wordswordswordswords. lol

Hmmm... What's with the Palworld obsession??
Lots of people here (though definitely not just here) are frustrated with Game Freak and/or Nintendo and how they handle modern Pokemon, meaning the games and the franchise itself. They take glee in Palworld challenging Pokemon and clearly shaking Game Freak up in some way.

In truth, Palworld was mostly a fad and the player numbers are steadily dropping month on month. It won't be enough to kill Pokemon, god knows what would, but maybe it will cause GF to look at how they handle the games differently...maybe.

Finally another absolutely, grindless, single-only Poke game I will pay absolutely zero dollarinis for since there is no multiplayer. Pre-order bonus is cool though, if I didn't already have my Toto plush.

Otherwise, FINALLY real-time combat, though we'll see how it's implemented. Under-leveled cheese on launch version hopefully FTW.

GameFreak, ONLY makes Pokemon games.

Incorrect. They've been trying to branch out into other games, genres, and even other platforms over the last several years, to mixed results. Little Town Hero is probably their most notable recent attempt, but they've got some mobile games out now too.

I honestly just want a mainline Poke game with real time combat/capture out-of-battle cheese for the modern gaming standard. It'd shake up the VGC side of things, and that's a damn good thing making poke battles about crunching numbers AND actual gaming skill, but that idea will never see the light of a screen.

They got halfway there with Legends Arceus, but now it's clear they'd rather sue anyone trying to iterate on those same concepts rather than expand on them themselves.

When you see a AAA game being made by a studio that should have more money than an entire nation making a game that looks like a 2001 PS2 game, you have to start getting annoyed with the other stupid decisions they are making. This game shouldn't look this bad, and it's insulting that Nintendo/GF are spending so much time suing everyone when their products are declining in quality.

Well, why waste resources when kids will eat your literal shit right up as they ever did from day two? Poke games are sadly just stuck in that groundhog day and VGC blowing up with the rest of gaming tourneys ain't gonna help.

And that's why I am going to keep kicking dirt. It's literally all I can do
(that and pirate these games, I ain't spending a dime on them)

Sadly gotta factor in that age perspective as well - kids don't mind wasting time nearly as much as us seasoned kids. I've been over classic tall grass since gen 2 as well as sheer damn grind, but Legends just won't see the light of screen while kids remain kids when it comes to gaming.
