No, pretty sure @Aoshii ment battery.
I also had to replace the battery after getting supercard from Ali, it was DOA and didn't hold saves.

Yep, I meant I've replaced the SRAM Battery
Was dead as dead can be.
It simply could not save my files no matter what.
New battery, new life!

Probably not your issue but thought was worth mentioning..? and wasn't this custom firmware (Was the SuperFW but I just had issue with setting up new SD card, that was partitioned using GPT, I changed to MBR using partition magic and it started working for me.

sclite units are supported under the pre-release builds ONLY. I don't have an sclite, myself, but @Apache Thunder helped out and the pre-release builds starting HVCA-B onwards should work on those devices. @edo9300 also assisted with the project and added flashing support for the sclite kernel(meaning there's full scfw support), but I have not updated the kernel binaries to include that yet.

However, this was! I didn't look close enough at the repository and due to the naming scheme of the pre-releases initially assumed that they were created off 0.5.2 and contained code specific for the emulators mentioned as suffix.

So now some new questions:
1. Since the stock firmware seems to be perfectly capable of running the custom kernel, what exactly do I gain from flashing the SCFW firmware?

2. How do I actually save game state? The 2 games I am currently trying to play are Advance GTA and Advance Rally.
I'm pretty sure both ROMs are translated Japanese versions and have built-in save support (the NA/EU version of Advance GTA only supported a password save system according to Wikipedia). I was able to save both games properly multiple times with GBARunner2 but I don't know how to do it with SCFW.

SDHC support (>2GB), autosaving via power cycle (would have to manually relaunch SCFW every time otherwise), if using SCSFW way more useful DS-Mode (still requires a PassMe method, either a Slot-1 cart or FlashMe).
In turn you lose the original firmware, including it's (limited) cheat support (SuperFW has this tho) and (very limited) retail DS game compatibility (just use TWiLightMenu through SCSFW) until reflashed.

Superfw now support supercard lite v 0.16

Currently it is in a preview state with minimum functionality.

Installation
Download the current release and copy the scfw folder to the root of your SD card.
That's it! You can now use the kernel by loading scfw/kernel.gba from the official firmware.

Having an issue with the very begiining. The SCFW kerning does not update when run.

Ive put it in the Root and run it but it gives me the same white screen as the games. Does anyone have a more step by step guide than this?

Having an issue getting even the first part to work.

I have the SCFW from the Supercard and the Firmware but running SCFW just gives me a blank screen (even when i allow firmware flashing)

Does anyone have a better step by step guide for this? Or even better a quick 30 second video guide?

Also the .18 update has 4 folders, SCFW Kernal, GBA Phase 1, etc, which folder am I loading into the root? All 4? If not what is the purpose of those other folders?
