DS functionality on my 3DS does not work

for context my console is a original model 3DS, the game cartridge slot doesn't work, i get a error message whenever I open the camera app, the L button doesn't work, part of the touch screen doesn't register input, and DS download play doesn't work. I'm planning on refurbishing the console if i can fix the DS functionality.

Btw the console isn't modded

please help me

DS download play doesn't work.

"Doesn't work" is very unhelpful. What happens when you try to start DS Download Play? Do you get another error messsage? How about DS Internet Settings?

Usually when people have problems with DS functionality, it's because something's gone wrong with CFW. Are you the original owner of this 3DS? If you bought it used, maybe someone tried to remove CFW and messed up the process.

If you've always owned this 3DS, then was it somehow mishandled? If there's that many things wrong with it, it's probably physically defective.

when I open DS download play it takes me to the power off screen. and a friend gave it to me

If the console had CFW you might at least get more useful error messages. But it looks like it might just be down to faulty hardware.

the only apps I get the error message is the camera and AR games apps, all the other apps work fine

it's a vanilla 3DS so I'm not too sure
