Get ready for some classic Game Boy action, as Nintendo has some new-old retro titles to add to the Nintendo Switch Online library. Headed to the service tomorrow are four games: Survival Kids, Gradius The Interstellar Assault, Kirby's Star Stacker, and The Sword of Hope. For those unaware, the Survival Kids franchise was localized as Lost in Blue in the west.

It was indeed! I had the cartridge and played the absolute shit out of it for years.

I haven't played Kirby's Star Stacker. It's weird they ported the game boy version when they already had the snes version? Also there's an english patch for the snes version for anyone using an emulator https://www.romhacking.net/translations/4917/

Well, it's gonna get a bit better as they'll include GCN games, but I'd rather just play it on my phone with the Backbone PS Controller (feels like a Switch controller). Do I really? No, can't be bothered.

For Switch 2 only. Not that any of us can't play all Wii and GC games on a dirt cheap PC with enhanced framerates and higher resolutions/texture packs for free via Dolphin.

Yeah, it's strange Nintendo has been holding GCN up for Switch 2 as they could provide Wii/WiiU/NS1 games.

I guess that's too new for Nintendo.
