Okay, tomorrow I'll replicate what you do on Switch to see if I can do it.
Thank you so much for responding and clearing this up for me.

*And I don't think you're a beginner. You've already made tons of really good cheats, and if you think so, I'd like to know what it means to not consider yourself a beginner.
any update on start a new search with 0?

no, he wants to try to start with 0 to see what happens
Two possibilities only. A long search ending with either a warning that file size limit reached or no warning and oh what luck.

Most games request for close to max memory but occasionally some don’t.

yes, you could start a search with exact value == then MORE cycle if the value increased
but start a search with 0 is never recommended, if non zero values have millions, 0 might have billions or trillions, it might take forever to finish the first search (just guessing), assuming it doesn't crash or exceed the fat32 4gb barrier
let us know the result if you decided to try it

Of course I found it the way I did before, I just wanted to know if you knew of another way.

No cheats can be made for Civilization 5, 6, or any other Civilization game on the Switch, due to the devs making all functions universal (which makes one function handle many different things; money owned, money cost of upgrades, current owned building materials, building materials cost for upgrading buildings, military units that are healthy, military units that are injured, literally everything that can be expressed as a number is increased and decreased with the same function, so trying to give yourself max infinite money will (all at once) make upgrades cost max money, give you max of every upgrade material (plus max money more undefined item IDs, which will crash), make upgrades cost max of an undefined item ID that is equal to the money you set for yourself (this will cause a crash), give you max money worth of every type of healthy military units (plus max money more undefined types of military units, this causes a crash), give you max money worth of every type of wounded military units (plus max money more undefined types of military units, which, again, will cause a crash), you get the idea. Due to this, codes for Civilization games on Switch are impossible. The memory moves around every few seconds, so pointer codes are impossible as well, before you ask.

Interesting eh!! Hey, wait, I remember very well that there are cheats for that game, oh yes.
I don't know if they actually work.

any update on start a new search with 0?

as I said, the same as always

I believe that they solved it by searching for non-zero values first, eliminating all the unused 00's beforehand. That's what I would do as well, honestly.
Is it possible like you say? I didn't try it that way.

Because my question is, how does the program know about a value that isn't Zero and change it to a different value every time it does that search?
The only valid value would be the second search in Zero.
Maybe...?
Search like moonjump? But there's no value in Zero.
Is it possible @TomSwitch ?

no, he wants to try to start with 0 to see what happens

I always find it in not very new games

You can't do it in Breeze (Most of the time it always tells you that there is no memory or something like that).
Only Edizon SE (most of the time).
And it's a very long search.

Maybe one experience I had last year when I started to create cheats and didn't know that searching for 0 is not a good start at the beginning.
I searched for a timer in the Demo of Inazuma Eleven... The game is only 3 GB in size so sounds like not a big deal at first^^
So my initial search at the beginning of a match when the timer is at 00:00 I did the f32 = 0 search and the memory exceeded like you all know :)

Then I switched to the Emulator for that game on PC and searched via Cheatengine... Maybe it is also an issue with the emulator to having other results, who knows... But my initial search took between 1 and 2 hours (lost track at some point because had to do other stuff in between) and was 400 GB of search data afterwards... So not a good choice, learned it the hard way :) and all followed up searches went crashing or not getting to end (but of course 400 GB of initial search data, what to expect here)

Okay, exactly how many times must I explain to people here that the code updater tool only works on ASM codes? ASM codes are codes where all of the lines start with 040, 80, or 20. If anything else is in the code, the code updater WILL NOT WORK. The codes you quoted were created using the code updater, and are all ASM codes. A quick look over would have told you that. @TomSwitch almost NEVER updates his codes unless the game is extremely interesting to him, so it is extremely unlikely that the codes you are requesting will be updated anytime soon. The best way to ensure that it gets done at all is to learn how to create your own cheat codes and update them yourself.
Im sorry i didnt mean that, i need item for gordon recruit (celadon urn) :((

Can you make it work on V1.0.4 Sx On

For reference not all main codes are asm.. like some of my codes here for Ty the Tasmanian tiger for example.. https://github.com/Arch9SK7/MyNXChe.../010038400C2FE000/cheats/bae5c2e836df8e72.txt

So not a good choice, learned it the hard way :) and all followed up searches went crashing or not getting to end (but of course 400 GB of initial search data, what to expect here)
Thanks for sharing that info
