While it might be convenient to have those Tinfoil shops on your Switch for ease of installing game backups, from what I've seen Tinfoil isn't really doing the best job as a title installer and alike. I've been using DBI since the beginning and I've sourced my install files from a couple of websites that host them. Here's a great video on how to use DBI. I'm yet to run into an issue with it (a major one that isn't actually related to the game dump instead). The only thing you could try is to run the applet version of the app with in the full RAM mode via title override. Not sure how fast are Tinfoil devs at updating their app.
For the DBI you mentioned can the final english release be used or does it have to be the latest russian releases?

Thank you for your work on sys-patch module. I had a question, I just transferred over to using sys-patch module from sigpatches and have noticed by default there is a setting in the overlay options called "Patch sysMMC" turned on. I run all my backups under emuMMC, is there any reason that this setting should be kept on for me? I'm wondering if it is fine to turn it off and just keep "Patch emuMMC" on instead.
Could someone help me with this inquiry, I guess the more general question is there any difference between using sigpatches and sys-patch? Do both by default patch sysMMC and emuMMC? And in my case can I turn off "Patch sysMMC" if I'm just playing my backups on emuMMC.

I'm having a similar issue after following all the same steps. Sys-patch seems to be working when I check the tesla overlay. When launching any application though, besides Zelda BOTW, it says "Unable to start software."

REMOVE ANY MOD FOR THE GAME AND TRY AGAIN.

ALSO REMOVE SYS-TWEAK IF YOU USE IT.

You can leave both them enabled there is no problem, when you run EmuNAND or SysNAND SYS-Patch will be aware and depending on those settings will apply or not patches at start.

I you like use your SysNAND ONLINE you can disable that option without problem.

New set of sigpatches created!!!!

I assume that for correct work in fw 20.0.1 and AMS 1.9.0 the latest sigpatches .ips will be sufficient and the rest of the older ones will not. Older ones only if someone wants to use older fw and AMS, right?

EDIT:
I've been working on NSW for a few years and only today I found out that there are two ways to use patches.
The first older one, use sigpatches .ips and hekate.ipl settings as impeeza has now suggested.
The second newest one, use only sys-patch but then remove the line kip1patch=nosigchk from the hekate_ipl.ini settings
A person learns all their life... B-)

Disculpa, respecto a la línea que dice "Atmosphere=1" en la plantilla.. Tengo entendido que ahora lo cambiaron a "kernelprocid" y no es necesario aplicarla si se usa ''pkg3'', o me equivoco?

Config: atmosphere key is now renamed to kernelprocid to match what it does
Only advanced users that do not use fss0/pkg3 are affected by this

Exactly, https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate/releases/tag/v6.3.0

Now you should rename FSSO to pkg3 and atmosphere by kernelprocid but you only need to use that setting if you do not set pkg3

I had the latest v. 1.5.9...

MrDude, Thank you...!
Thanks for the tip!

I'm wondering if it is fine to turn it off and just keep "Patch emuMMC" on instead.
I've disabled the Patch sysMMC option on mine since I only use emuMMC as well. Everything works fine so it should be okay.

I'm getting lost here—so what should we use, sigpatches or sys-patch? If we use sigpatches, I assume we shouldn't remove the NOGC option from Hekate_ipl.ini...
I'd recommend sys-patch as it's easier to maintain and update (less files and clutter on your SD card), but it should be pretty much the same in terms of features as far as I know.

I'm having issues with Tinfoil both with sys-patch and sigpatches, anyone else? Thanks.
Probably Tinfoil app needs to be updated for the most recent firmware, but I can't say for sure as I'm not using it. While its shops are convenient (among other features), I find DBI and finding files on certain websites much easier and issue-free way to install your game backups. Yet to run into an issue.

For the DBI you mentioned can the final english release be used or does it have to be the latest russian releases?
The latest English one might have some issues with features other than installing game titles. If you use it for installing games only, it should be fine. However, I'd still recommend the latest Russian version if you use it mainly for installing games as it's not hard to remember where the install options are.

Don't tag SciresM in this thread. He doesn't want to be anywhere near patches. Sigpatches won't even work with fusee unless you build your own.

As for NOGC, I leave that option in my hekate_ipl.ini and in my Atmosphere settings, explicitly to make sure it's OFF ( = 0 in ipl.ini). It doesn't help and causes issues with the uninformed. There is zero reason to ever downgrade, and zero reason to not have both sys and emu updated to the latest. I know there are a few people that are hell bent on staying at 4.1 or below on sys, but those are a special breed. If your system has ever been above 4.1 on sys, the whole thing is just pointless.

well SciresM made atmosphere so I'm grateful for his hard work.

Not to be blunt, but.. nonsense. NOTHING looks for "nosigchk" unless you told it to. If you have multiple entries, then any or every one of them could have that line added. Whatever button you just launched, look at that specific choice in the ipl.ini, and you'll see the nosigchk line there. Just search for the word in your text editor of choice, until it can't be found. And in case you placed an ipl.ini somewhere else as a backup and forgot about it, the one you want is in the bootloader folder.

ahh ok im kinda new so i didnt know. But yeah i found the back up copy and deleted the nosigchk line from that one and it went away. Thanks for leading me to the solution, i appreciate it.
