Fanfilm "Resurrection: A Biohazard Story" to begin crowdfunding on Indiegogo on May 1st

Thanks to the great reception of the first fan film "The Keeper's Diary" by the people behind the Residence of Evil YouTube Channel, the team is now working on a second live-action short series, featuring the original cast from the first game in the franchise, the original Resident Evil from 1996.

This new project by the RoE team will be a 4-part series focusing on Chris, Rebecca and Barry in an entirely new story set years after the mansion incident of the original game, in which they'll find and fight against an old enemy, Albert Wesker. All of the characters will be played by the actors that played the original characters back in the PlayStation release of Resident Evil from 1996, which Charlie Kraslavsky as Chris Redfield, Greg Smith as Barry Burton, Linda as Rebecca Chambers, and Eric Pirius as Albert Wesker.

The RoE team made an official announcement about the series back in April 1st, and now, the team will be launching an official IndieGoGo campaign to gain funds for the project, so those interested in funding the project can do so starting on Thursday, May 1st, 2025.

There are some seriously good fan films.

The official Power Rangers is nowhere near as close to the epicness of the fan film.

I'm a fan of the Nathan Fillion Uncharted project. That one translated the game content to film pretty well. I remember everyone thought Nathan Fillion would be perfect for the role, and the fan film worked as a kind of proof of concept.

I appreciate that the Residence of Evil team has gone through the effort of organizing the original cast members from several of the games.

Yeah these guys definitely have a good track record so I'll back it.

Personally, I just want a remake of all the Silent Hill games.
The funny thing is that a Silent Hill fan film might end up being more poignant than the ones that hollywood put out.

If we're talking the games, a remake of the original Silent Hill has a ton of potential. I will always have an appreciation for the blocky original, there's no changing that.

I'm just happy I'm able to play some of them on the Vita. ^-^
