Bump: Added Chaos;Child Translation Improvement Patch
Thank you for updating this thread. I stopped using Reddit and r/VitaPiracy is flooded with technical questions I would have never learned of this. I bought the Chaos double pack on Steam since I read that these games used a different engine that makes them difficult to translate for, but with this patch I can finally finish Child (I played Chaos;Head on Steam but the Vita is way way better for VN).

Oh cool, never expected that. Thank you.

Any chance Chaos;Head is doable ?
Not at the moment no. The rUGP engine it uses is quite infamous, being difficult to hack, which makes our only option for either for someone to go through the hacking process and actually make tools for it, or, the official tools for rUGP somehow leak.

I would love to see more ports though, but they take more time I assume

Happy to hear you're interested in playing the Phantom Trigger patch! Thanks for letting me know! I now have more motivation to work on 03&04..

Hi there. Committee of Zero just released their improvement patch for Steins;Gate: My Darling Embrace: https://sonome.dareno.me/projects/sgmde-patch.html

I wanna bring it up in case you think about updating the patch. I already completed the game with your patch and had a great time.

Also I hope once CoZ released their C;H LCC and C;C LCC patches, you could consider porting them to the Vita as well.

Hey, just wanted to say you did an amazing job with the YU-NO project - especially porting over the fan translation. That version is on a completely different level compared to the official one (honestly, there’s not even a point in comparing them).

One thing I was wondering though - was there any chance of including the voice files from the tlwiki version? Those added a lot to the experience back then, and I think they'd make a huge difference here too in terms of atmosphere and immersion.

If that was somehow possible, this would hands-down be the best way to experience YU-NO today. Even running a Vita emulator on PC is likely easier and more stable than dealing with the old Windows fan port and praying your saves don’t randomly corrupt.

Thanks again for the work you've done - this kind of preservation really matters.

PS:
The TLwiki fan-translation on PC used the Windows PC port soundtrack, which has lower quality soundfiles compared to the original PC-98. Because of the lower quality, there is actually a difference to how the music tracks sound
This is actually not true. TLWiki version used the highest quality audio. They re-recored the whole soundtrack on real PC-98 hardware in 48KHz. This version had by far the best and most accurate soundtrack from all non PC-98 versions.

FanTL project was canceled after the official TL came out. And porting official TLs elsewhere is a bit more on the gray side.
What are you talking about? WA2 has a good fan translation for years.

That is White Album 1, White Album 2 doesn't have official TL.
I agree that it would be nice to see the Vita or PS3 version translated (PC version has fan translation).

Wondering if you yourself or anyone you know is working on finishing up the Science Adventure series? Chaos;Head Noah, Chaos;Head Chu Chu; Chaos Child Chu Chu, and Occult Nine are the only games left untranslated I believe.
