Use my patch as a base for your translation. It’s ap patched already. Depending on the language you’re translating it to you might want to keep or lose my font in it too.
This solution helped me, I used USA ROM en/fr patched, then replaced the text and font, the first portal passed testing further.

upd 12.04. I finished the game on 3DS, no problems at all

how can i change the sound frequency in twilight menu? The nds moonshell has a stadic when using and a fix i’ve seen online is to change the sound frequency to 32 but i cannot find where to change it

how do i do that? Apologies for asking 😅, i just followed a youtube video online on how to install twilight menu and used the files he provided

Thank you very much, i did get it figured out and the option to change sound frequency did appear but after changing it to 32 it still had the stadic sound in moonshell so i waited on responding back to the previous reply 😅, i am not sure what to do honestly if it has the same stadic sound no matter what sound frequency is selected. It works fine using the normal r4 menu but not with twilight

You can change the load option from bootstrap to kernel on a per game basis by hitting Y and changing the loader.

these are the options i have, when i change the yes to no it just gives a error

surprising enough i viewed that exact website before making a reply here as i thought it was a dead end and they couldn’t fix it. I’ll take another look when i have time, thank you for helping

Edit apologies looks like i was mistaken when i pressed the link it instead opened one of my previous tabs and not a new one 🥲

So i got around to try your reply and it still has the same issue. I put the files for my specific r4 card on the root of the sd card and the option did not appear when pressing y on the game so i switched it in settings. Apon loading moonshell the stadic is still there

a little update i did get the right files but turns out the switching between flashcard and nsdboot only shows up for acual games and moonshell only shows that “direct boot” option

When i have yes selected it works but with the stadic, when i have no selected it just gives a error.

What i might do is just buy a separate flashcard just for playing video’s/ movies while i have this one for playing games/ dsi wear

Thank you for helping though i really appreciate it.

v27.13.1 & v27.13.2
Includes nds-bootstrap v2.4.5 (GBATemp thread)

What's new?

  • The color LUT files have been reduced from 128KB to 64KB, due to each half being duplicates.
    • For your homebrew (already supporting color LUT) to use the reduced size, change the allocation/load size from `0x20000` to `0x10000`, and change any instance of `color = colorTable[color]` to `color = colorTable[color % 0x8000]`.
  • DSi-based UIs: Filetypes from all filenames are now displayed if the file contains no banner.
  • Various: Updated translations.

Bug fixes

  • DSi-based UIs: Another fix for large cheat lists causing a crash on DS flashcards.
    • Achieved by freeing up the photo and music buffers (64KB and 384KB) from RAM, causing the photo shuffling feature to disable and the music to stop when opening the cheat menu. When exiting the cheat menu, both the buffers are re-allocated and then said features will work again.
  • DSi-based UIs: Fixed transparent box art not displaying properly.
  • 3DS UI: Changed a remaining instance of "theme" to "user interface" when attempting to launch the Unlaunch installer.
  • DS Classic Menu and R4 & Wood UIs: Long filenames now fit within the banner text box.

Hello, Im new here, sorry for the question. Does anyone know how to fix this weird audio buzzing ? It happened on some DS games like Resident Evil DS and for some DS games I dont encounter the problem. The problem also happens when im in the TwilightMenu++ settings. The problem also happens with headphones plugged. I dont have any problem with most of my DS games and with my 3DS games. I also have a physical japanese copy of Resident Evil DS and the problem doent happen on my New 3DS XL, so I dont think its an hardware issue. I attached a video to show the problem. The weird thing is that my sister's 2DS with also TwilightMenu++ installed doesnt have the problem on Resident Evil DS. Thanks for your help !

is there a specific reason why editing roms in a (debatably) minuscule causes loss of access to cheats?
Examples:
- Putting Gen 6 party icons in Pokemon Black & White (or the entirety of Gen 4 titles) via Crystaltile2 and HxD
- Applying D-pad Patch to Phantom Hourglass and or Spirit Tracks
- inserting custom Voices for the DS Kingdom Hearts games

Such changes cause the CRC checksum to not match the one the cheat database expects.

I'm still using version 27.5.0(DSi SD ver) T_T
Since 27.10.0, more and more games need to manually turn off card read DMA, and can only use DSI mode (Chinese translation rom can't use DSI modeT_T)

Which games?

Which games?
e.g.
Mario & Luigi RPG3, soma bringer (original & translation rom)need turn off card read DMA, otherwise will be bugs&red screen.
chrono trigger, super robot wars og saga only use DSI mode.
(these games are fine in 27.5.0, I feel like 27.5.0 is good enough)
(Mario & Luigi RPG3 seems also need turn off card read DMA in 27.5.0 , sorry I don't remember)
