Sorry if that wasn’t clear. The L+ Down + Select menu has never worked for me on this card. How do I get this to work. I’ve checked the shortcut and made sure I have it correct but it has never taken me to a menu.

I’m going to reformat my card (literally doing so as I type) and reinstall but I’m wondering what the best way to install twightmenu with full functionality of ndsbootstrap on this card is.
possibly relevant

Welp. Ok. Appreciate the knowledge and straight forward answer. Very helpful.

Actually, it works now. Soooo…. Weird. Maybe because I never installed the older kernel? Or maybe that only applies to the .hk cards and just did something dumb before and now fixed it?

It's possible to inject the save file of dragon quest 9 EUR that i'm playing on a flashcard to a real cartdrige of Dragon Quest 9 EUR ? If yes , how can i do that ?

I bought a used DSI XL and it had twilight menu already installed with some games. I have a few questions.

1. When playing DS games on the SD card the DS came with, the camera is blinking red sometimes?

2. the power light appears to be purple. I haven't had a DSI in a long time but I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that? can you mod the system light with twilight menu or something?

3. Is they're a way to enable cheats on DS games through the SD card? and where do I add my games on the SD card?

  1. That's because the ROM read LED is set to the camera in the nds-bootstrap page of TWLMenu++ Settings.
  2. Yes, you can set it to either Blue/Red or Purple.
  3. This page tells you how: https://wiki.ds-homebrew.com/twilightmenu/faq.html?faq=how-do-i-use-cheats
  4. Anywhere except for folders starting with "_".

and suddenly it doesn't work again. Reformatted and reinstalled again and NOPE. I'm so lost.

well I guess It's time to help find that fix then. What was the other option for changing brightness in game?
What do you mean? The only option for changing brightness is in the options menu of the in-game menu.

Oh I guess It's the 3ds I'm thinking

Ok It's working but I learned nothing this time. I WILL say that I never have an issue loading the bootstrap menu on 3ds.
Also, the only thing I did BOTH times It started working was load the _DS_MENU.dat and _DSMENU.dat files AFTER starting the system up. The first time it suddenly started working I got an error because I outright forgot to load the. THIS time I switched everything out slowly from a backup I had and these were the last files I swapped on the card.

STILL don't know what caused the break but it's actually possible I switched them out when loading the nightly (for whatever reason I might have done that)

i haven't touched my DSi in a bit and i wanted to pick it back up, i had the entire SD backed up on my hardrive due to me using the SD for another system, upon booting into hiya i receive a "title.tmd was not found error"

(Re-)running TWLMagician should fix the issue.

Did it delete everything on your SD card, or just the ROMs and saves?
everything except for your average stock dsi files and folders, _gba, gm9i folder, my homebrew folder, and moonshl2

the roms folder and everything inside it is gone. this includes saves. anything that wasn't mentioned is also gone

Use a data recovery application to get back your deleted data then. idk the best (free) one to use though, so you'll have to look it up for yourself.
You should be able to get as much as possible back if you have not re-added the ROMs or added any new files to the SD card.

i tried recovering them with recuva it says they're unrecoverable.

that aside, do you think not having twilight menu files on the SD is ideal when using TWLmagician?
As my theory is this is the result when having existing folders/files from Twilight Menu. as running
TWLmagician without Twilight menu files on the SD works no problem.

Hello RocketRobz
I used to make one package(include hiyacfw 1.5.1 & 1.6.0 upgrade hiya.dsi) and share it with my friends
.
Have a issues in large residual space SD
If it has not been run hiyacfw 1.5.1, updated directly 1.6.0, boot hiyacfw has a black screen : "An error has occurred..."
.
Since hiyacfw 1.6.0 no longer creates dummy file
The solution is need to create dummy file using the old version(hiyacfw 1.5.1) first, Then update to hiyacfw 1.6.0

(My English is not good, this reply was translated by translation software)

No idea.

You are supposed to update hiyaCFW by running TWLMagician. Without it, the space check bug (worked around by adding a dummy file) will not be patched out.
