I have no idea what this means..? The DS has no internal storage. Everything is stored on the carts.
for use with flash carts. Would make it easy to move save data from emulators or DS games between , for example, my DS Lite and my New 3DSXL.

An app to sync save data wirelessly across ds and 3ds would be grest. I feel like the way Pokémon are transferred is a blueprint for this and with many of us having more than one system, it would be nice to easily update a save file so we can play on a different 3/ds/i

Perhaps the Pokémon comp is overly simplified because far less data needs to be changed and it’s all in a predictable spot. But in my mind the app would open and you’d select a save to work with on both systems. Then you would say which is old and which is new and the system with the old save would read the new one on the other system and recreate it or overwrite it.

Perhaps a system could be in place to backup the old save just incase there is corruption or you transfer the wrong direction.

a 3ds AND ds app would be helpful.
Actually, the more I think about this, @RocketRobz would be the PERFECT person to do this because it would integrate perfectly into Twilight Menu++ as a save manager system. It could be an option in the Y menu above where you select a save slot or as save manager tab.

"Perfectly?" It still doesn't make much sense. If you're using a DS flashcart in a 3DS and want to access the save data on the flashcart's SD storage, why not just boot the flashcart..?

1.) one of my kids could be playing a game on the other console and that requires the flash cart to remain in the dslite

2.) twl patches for 3DS

3.) turning off power to the card slot on 3DS saves a bit of battery.

4.) my old ass DS lite sometimes has read issues when the flash cart goes in and out so i’d rather leave it in.

5.) backing things up is never bad if there’s space

6.) because

Okay: So you want to synchronize save data for DS games running in TWilIght Menu on a 3DS with a DS flashcart on an entirely different unit... And you think this functionality integrates "perfectly" with TWiLight Menu, an app with no Internet connectivity and no access to online storage? So perfectly that you want someone else to do it for you..?!

You'd be better off figuring out something with FTPd on your own.

Not ftp. You’re not keeping up. You’re so determined to pew pew the thought that you forgot to listen.

Nifi. Not ftp. Direct peer to peer communication the same way you can trade pokemon which is ALSO just altering a save file.

Well, no, you didn't say anything about "peer to peer communication" or "nifi". A lack of clarity on your part does not constitute a failure to listen on my part, thank you. I can't keep up when I have no idea where you are.

Also, I don't believe you're talking about "just altering a save file". Maybe that could work on a game-by-game basis with save data that is rigorously understood, but it seems the general case would require transferring the entire save.

So... Do you know of any homebrew projects that actually use this thing, or is it just a template? Because it would be a bit of a stretch to claim that this thing no one's used before should work "perfectly" in someone else's project.

“Perfectly” refers to how it will integrate neatly with what already exists. It’s seamless. It wouldn’t look like a random piece because there are already save options in the app. It is a logical addition rather than an illogical one if someone added it to a theme manager or something of that nature.

Again, I SAID “integrate” and not “work”.

Also, I mentioned Pokémon for a reason because it utilizes the peer to peer nifi connection.

And, again, if you read, you’d see I ALREADY UNDERSTAND that there is a difference between a game knowing exactly where the data is and a catch all solution.

Thanks for adding literally nothing to the convo.

Hello, I would like to present an idea I've tried to do it myself: a Bluesky client for the Nintendo 3DS. I've managed to do quite some progress, I could create some UI and successfully connects to the Bluesky API and loads posts and images, however it's not finished.

I encountered several roadblocks that were very difficult to overcome, such as optimization, figuring out how to do certain stuff and how the 3DS in general works. There is little documentation about any of that, and I found myself having to beg to people on a dead Discord server to help me make this project possible.

However I gave up humiliating myself like that, so I ended up dropped the project, but not quite gave up on it. And that's why I'm posting about it in here. If anyone is interested in seeing this project to actually come to fruition, and help me make it, contact me.

Also, the project is on my Github: https://github.com/pvini07BR/3dsky

This may sound a bit silly, but has anyone done a TikTok client for the 3DS? We got YouTube down with FourthTube (if thats the name of it) so why not?

Maybe if I actually knew how to code I would do it..

I thought about a save sync feature. Maybe via Syncthing. Unsure how that could be done, as I'm not really a great developer, but I'll look into it in the future.
There is a thing called 3DSync that worked via Dropbox, but I don't think it's been updated in a long time.

Demaking for only New 3DS takes advantages because of CPU capabilities specially because of the exclusive Overclock + L2 Cache enabled on Luma

An FFMPEG-based music player that can take unmodified Winamp skins would be dope.
