it works fine as long as you launch it with "no patching".
it has soft reset built-in, just press L+R+Start+Select.

EDIT: this media player functionality is why i bought my current supercard microsd. years ago i had a supercard with a full size sd card slot and always found that neat, after a while i sold it to upgrade to an ez-flash iv but kinda missed the media player part the supercard had.
ez-flash carts are superior in everything else but media playback. meteo sucks.
Still not working. Maybe it doesn't like 16 GB FAT32 SD card?

If SRAM battery test fails after console is turned off for more than 2 minutes, for example 3 minutes, it still means that my battery is dead?
I mean, if I save game, turn console off for 5 minutes, then tur it on, my save will be deleted?

For how long supercard should keep save info anyways?

Thank you so much for all the updates! My daughter is so happy her pokemon games will save properly now!

There is a rare case where Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team is seen using 128Kb Flash but can only be saved using SRAM save mode.

DirectSaving is only capable of running if there's enough "space" to load its payload. It is a ~7KB payload. This works well on all roms <32MB, and some 32MB ROMs (if they have holes and some trailing space). Otherwise it doesn't work.
I recall this game you mention was veeery packed and had no free space, that might be the issue.
I can try see if the code is really trying its best to pack it, but it needs at least 4-5 KBs for the DirectSave stub. I could also try to make it a bit smaller in exchange for a bit of performance.

battery is dead, you need replace it

When the battery is fully charged, it will be kept for a long time.
So the battery in the cartridge will only be used if the cartridge is removed from the device?

In conclusion, if the battery power on the device is still there, will the SRAM storage continue to work even though the battery on the Supercard is dead?

If you ran out of cart battery, then it's better to use the in-game menu to save. You can try rebooting very quickly (with the switch) but that's dangerous :)
So TLDR use the IGM, it's your best bet (or replace the battery of course!). Flash and EEPROM games should be fine with DirectSaving.

For my model of super card mini sd a 3.7v lir2016 coin cell was used. Can I use a regular 3V cr2016 as a replacement?

How do we send you a coffee or whatever? :)

I might be an idiot sandwich but every game I open gets a white screen on launch. Are there requirements for the SD for example to make this work?
Have a SuperSD card that holds a full SD card but that one is only 256MB (yeah iknow). it was formatted with FAT16 using the original firmware. I tried flashing SuperFW on that FAT16 filesystem. That worked and loading SuperFW was successful. However loading GBA games results in a white screen on every game. Tried multiple Pokemon, Mario and kirby games. GB and GBC games do boot but all of them (few Pokemon and Tetris) have display glitches that make the games unplayable. Maybe I can try to install the fork of Goomba that fixed some bugs.
Reformatting to FAT32 and trying to flash on that filesystem gave an error that would not load the firmware so sticked with FAT16.
Perhaps I can try a micro sd to SD adapter with a 2GB or bigger micro SD. Unless there is something else I’m doing wrong? Tried with your latest release.

[edit]
Had a 16GB micro with adapter laying around so tried that, formatted to FAT32 and reflashed the firmware. Maybe it goes wrong there since you flash the cartridge and not the SD cards.. How can you start from scratch after you flashed the FW on the cart? all gba games still white and GB/GBC with display glitches.

since you tried swapping sd card (if i interpreted the words correctly), it might be your card being faulty e.g. flash chip is worn out? you may try using scsfw to chainload superfw or switch back to original firm to see if there's still issue.
