what is redNAND?

It's a fix for failing eMMC's, mainly for those unlucky enough to have Wii U's with Hynix chips. Basically you reroute the Wii U's internal storage to instead use a partition on an SD card.

Known Problems

  • GC VC Injectes don't work when installed to the SDUSB (they still work from Internal Memory)
is what it says in this thread...

I assume it works from the internal memory or real usb hd, not through and sd card.
This is not exactly my case. Maybe it's hardware related or there's a more general underlying issue so it could still apply, but I'm not using the SD as a USB, it's recognised as the system's internal memory. It should be equivalent to soldering a new chip in place of the old one, and it has been in every other case until now. When installing the GC inject, I'm choosing to install to the NAND (internal memory), which just happens to be an external SD in my case, but the OS doesn't seem to realise the difference.

The Wii U OS is doing the rerouting and when you load into a injected game it loads into Wii mode and loses the SD card access.

But isn't Nintendont installed on the SD card in any case? It works when it isn't injected in the Wii U menu, Nintendont can load GC games in Wii mode from the SD card.
Is it about not seeing the game because it's installed in the other partition of the SD ("NAND")? Then why does the error message indicate it's not seeing Nintendont, and why would it work with the GC game installed in the normal, non-SD NAND? Aren't they essentially the same, and loading in the same occasions?
