Correct, as per the article, but the tribes impacted are many more than the tribes with territories across the border.

The article also mentions that the DOJ is citing an 1884 Supreme Court decision as validation for these checks, whilst also ignoring the more recent Indian Citizenship Act of 1924 that gives Native Americans born on American soil citizenship.

Obviously it's a very case-by-case basis but it's not black and white. What's procedure for one tribe, area, etc. may not be for another and so on. But having documents checked is one thing, while having state-issued ID and Supreme Court precedent is quite another.

These people simply cannot comprehend that the US has neither the infrastructure to bring manufacturing for everything here, that not everything grows on US soil (and can't), and that we don't have the population (6.9 million unemployed at our 4.1% rate as of Jan 2025) to fill these jobs if somehow we managed to pull off the first two.

They are considered to be far-right in Germany and currently the German parliament is even trying to cancel the party completely, due to their open fascist nature.

In my own experience United States issues tend to come up and stick around for far longer than other issues. This is a small subforum on a gaming forum in a small corner of the Internet. Most of us here are either American or closely follow American politics, so American issues are more likely to be the center of attention. In fact, most of the time the conversations overstay their welcome so much that a mod has to shut it down after they devolve into name-calling.

The national response by Canada for the event you described is infinitely more relevant to global implications of perceived Nazism then what a handful of forum-goers think.

I can't tell if this clarification is saving face for getting called out or just extremely misguided logic.
