Hey, I’m modding my switch oled with instinct v6s chip on the 19.1 or something like that but I don’t know what I need to download or where to them

I don't have a console with a modchip but I believe that it's the same process for all of them (i.e. for picofly, instinct etc.)? If so, you can follow this guide.Hey, I’m modding my switch oled with instinct v6s chip on the 19.1 or something like that but I don’t know what I need to download or where to them

You do not have to use sysMMC to use CFW or homebrew. However any usage of CFW/homebrew can lead to a ban if you go online. If you do hypothetically get banned, it should not affect your Nintendo Account. Nintendo Accounts only get banned for other things like fraudulent credit cards. Lastly, we don't know how transferring save data and accounts will work with the Switch 2 but we do know its backwards compatible with the Switch 1 library. So I'm size hunting my Pokemon from Pokemon HOME on the Switch right now to get the Jumbo Mark. The problem is that size hunting in Scalet/Violet takes forever, and not all Pokemon are transferrable to SV to check. So I want to use the [PKHeX Plugin] HOME Live Viewer & Dumper 3.2.6 (Link here: https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/file/4388-pkhex-plugin-home-live-viewer-dumper/ ) to directly check their sizes in PKHex on my computer, which will save me a massive amount of time. I know I have to mod my Switch, which isn't a problem. But.
Do I have to use sysMMC/sysNAND for this to work, or can I use emuMMC/emuNAND? Is there any risk of getting banned if I just use this app and nothing else while taking the proper precautions? I have two unbanned vanilla Switches. I plan on modding one of them and have the same Nintendo account on both. If one gets banned, is my Nintendo account affected in any way? Will I be able to transfer my save data and account to the new Switch 2 if the hacked Switch gets banned?
Thanks

Hello everyone. I've been out of the loop for a while, and my Switch is currently under 1.6.2 AMS CFW.
I just want to be sure what's the proper way to update it nowadays.
Should I just first upgrade the CFW files, and then update the Switch's FW? And how are people updating FW nowadays?
Is 1.8.0 really the latest CFW version? Is atmosphere still the most used?
Thanks!Generally the way I update is update the CFW files, then flash new firmware and restart, Atmosphere is the only CFW nowadays, and 1.8.0 is the latest.
Hekate. You can either chainload fusee into Atmosphere or setup FSS0 boot. And yes, it supports emuMMC, L4T and Android. Thanks!
And are payload injectors still used? If so, what's the one people are using the most?
Any that supports Linux?
Thanks!

Thanks! I just updated it, and apparently everything is fine.
However, I had just find out that the DBI Installer dev threatened to brick consoles and that he will not give support in english anymore.
That being said, what are the most recommended installer nowadays? Tinfoil? Or is there something else that's great out there?
that is probably bad advice, it hasn't hurt you does not mean it won't, it has known bugs that has been fixed in updates.if dbi 658 work fine you can leave it.

Keep the English version for reference. Certain things works just fine but you need to know what. Pressing A on some games (I suppose newer ones) will crash your Switch.
Like some random hacker is to be trusted to hack it into English? Learn a few Russian words is much better than wondering what can go wrong.provide proper update
Hi, i'm on FW 16.1 and i want to update it to 18.1.0. I've already updated both Atmosphere, Hekate and Sigpatches to the most recent versions but when i try updating my firmware using Daybreak i got an error saying: No update found in folder. Ensure your ncas are named correctly! Result: 0x0001a405
What should i do? I've downloaded the fw files from darth... so i suppose it should work fine
Yes. I unzipped first to a folder named 18.1.0 and then copied to my sd card: sd_root/18.1.0. First daybreak didn't even recognize the folder. So i had to create a new folder on sd root and it was like this: sd_root/firmware 18/18.1.0Did you unzip into a folder?

When it's on a subfolder like this Daybreak can recognize the folder but the update doesn't start and shows me that message about the nca names.
Edit: I haven't tried unzipping it directly on the sd card but i don't see why it would matter. i'm just trying to figure this out somehow
what you suppose to do was unzip the files into a folder and then just drop it on the root of your sd card, always work that way for me.
