How to Delete “Gender” Using Windows Command Line (CLI)

First, let’s open the Windows Command Line.
Press Win + R, type cmd, and hit Enter. Congratulations, you’re hacking… kinda.

Step 1: Verify the integrity of your system files to see if “gender” is even in there. Type:

sfc /scannow

Windows will start scanning. Results:
• If it finds “gender” corruption:
• If it doesn’t: Windows is woke.

Step 2: Since “gender” might be a system variable, we need to list them all. Run:

set

Scroll through the chaos. Did you see a GENDER environment variable? If not, we’re digging deeper.

Step 3: If “gender” is stored in a file, delete it like this:

del C:\System32\gender.exe

(Pro tip: Do not actually delete random files in System32 unless you want your computer to self-destruct. )

Step 4: Maybe “gender” is hiding in the Registry. Be brave. Type:

regedit

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GenderAndStuff and delete the “Gender” key. Careful, or you’ll accidentally delete the “Keyboard” setting and lose the ability to type forever.

Step 5: If all else fails, run a nuclear command:

format C: /y

(Warning: This is NOT a joke. Your hard drive will become an empty void, but hey, no more “gender.”)

Final Step: For true gender neutrality, install Linux. Windows doesn’t judge, but Linux doesn’t care.
Run:

sudo apt-get install nongenderos

Congrats! You’ve officially deleted “gender” from your system. Your PC is now operating in the void.
