I see Musk as (partially) wasted potential. He was insanely lucky in life, and that carried him through a lot, especially for someone with Asperger's syndrome. He had/has great ideas which are for the benefit of humanity (Safe payments/Electric cars/space travel/better infrastructure). If he left it to that, then I don't think anyone would be having any issues with him.

Then he got the taste of attention from millions of people, and that has ruined him quite a bit. His trans kid also helped push him over the edge towards a more than eager far right who told him it wasn't his fault, but society which pushed his kid towards that life. There are other parts of his life which made him develop into a weirdo, like his father teaching him that his goal is to procreate as much as possible, and now he's offering his semen to any woman that will take it. It's all unfortunate, and could have been much better.
Successful men often go insane

Alexander the great telling people he was the son of Ra and marching into India

Carolus Rex thinking he was god's right hand and fighting off nearly every European power

Caesar calling himself consul for life etc and immediately being stabbed to death

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely

Of course, in the modern day we have options like therapy, but clearly Musk's ego couldn't possibly handle that.

Kind of wild 23% of Americans access mental health treatment/services each year

10 years ago it was 13%

I can't help but feel like there is perhaps too much of an emphasis on therapy

Do 1/4 of people really need it?

He had power for a long time though, and for the most part was fine. It was when he started having a cheerleader squad that he started really going over the edge. Or maybe he was already unstable, and Twitter put a megaphone to the issue.

It really is over

Trump:
Pennsylvania+0.6
Wisconsin+0.3
Michigan+0.2

All less than 1% ahead and all well within margin of error

That's over to you? That's a statistical tossup since those 3 states will decide the election

Beyond that the average polling data all puts Kamala ahead in MI and WI, and PA very close

Nate Silver also has it a virtual tossup (51.5/48.1) slightly in favor of a Trump win

Also - all the betting markets have basically reached equilibrium near 50/50
