I don't know, I was 14 at the time

Oil prices weren't that high until the war with Ukraine, then I remember seeing gas prices went from 2.10 to 3.23 in just 2 weeks
Think about how many cars were on the road during the pandemic, versus before and after it. Prices were never gonna stay that low, because demand was never gonna stay that low.

He already cut taxes on the rich in his first term. That's one of the few things he would never lie about, because he's a narcissist and it's also beneficial to him personally.
That was like 7 years ago, mate, besides give him some credit, he's a good businessman
Obama wanted a single-payer healthcare system, what we ended up with instead was a compromise with Republicans. The one very positive thing the ACA did, however, was prevent insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions, and now Trump wants to remove even that protection from Americans. Took him nearly a decade to come up with the, "concept of a (healthcare) plan," which translated means that he has no plan at all.
500 to $1,000 monthly payments with $6,000 to $10,000 deductibles doesn't sound right to me tho

Yeah I crashed a mailbox at that time because traffic was so peaceful

Even before, I still remember prices were consistent, with being around 1.90 to 2.07

He inherited hundreds of millions of dollars from his parents, and then he bankrupted a fucking casino. All his business ventures have been massive failures, to the extent that he would have more money now if he had simply put it all into a savings account when he was young and left it there. The fact that he was still able to fail his way to the top makes him the very definition of privileged.

Medicare for all would definitely be my preference, but both parties take too much money from big pharma for that to have a realistic chance of passing through Congress.

Eh it was like $2.50+. Like others have said, supply chains hadn't been disrupted yet. And yes, Russia as a major supplier of oil hadn't decided to turn themselves into a pariah yet by invading Ukraine, but Trump knew that was coming and did nothing to stop it.

Wasn't he able to successfully turn 1 millions dollars then turn it to 5 billion? I say that's impressive

Okay Guess I should've put states into accountability

I don't know where you heard that from, but like BigOnYa said, Trump has had to file for bankruptcy multiple times, and he's been extremely secretive over his tax returns. He's received a ton of dark money loans from foreign banks and oligarchs, but that money never comes without strings attached. It wasn't a coincidence that US nuclear secrets and other highly-classified intelligence documents were found stockpiled in the bathroom of Mar-a-Lago.

Sounds like you're learning the wrong things, especially if you're defending someone like Trump of all people.

Trump was never a good businessman. Not when he filed for bankruptcy 6 times and has billions of dollars in debt. He was handed a silver platter inheritance money and he just did whatever the fuck he wanted with it. He doesn't know much about economy, especially when he thinks raising TARIFFS of all things would help the economy except it doesn't work that way and would instead punish the consumer more.

Business is also partly about trust and he has none of that. Only corruption, lies, and broken promises. He wants to be president to have power to control others like the dictators/tyrants he looks up to (Putin, Kim Jong-Un, Hitler, etc.) and run away from his own crimes and responsibilities.

Nah, I'm just saying is all. The "numbers" you look at don't tell the whole story and can be easily manipulated and/or mislead people. That's part of the MAGA/Trump cult MO to try and get anyone who don't know any better on to their side and brainwash them.

Anyway, as long as you understand that Trump is a greedy, scumbag, piece of shit, narcissistic, selfish, liar, heartless, monster in human flesh, then good enough for me.

I woke up thinking that there would be a long thread about how Trump wasn't fellating a microphone stand, but making a symbolic gesture. But.... Nothing.... Crickets....

I guess nobody can even attempt to defend him anymore. Enjoy voting away your morals!

Most outlets simply reported it as "mic trouble." The sanewashing really pisses me off.
