It shouldn't have to be said, but Biden is not president of the world, FFS. Trump knew Russia's invasion of Ukraine was coming, which is why he tried to blackmail Ukraine for dirt on Biden. So your brilliant solution to both new "major wars" is to hand more power to those that started them? The Putins and Netanyahus of the world? Trump has never failed to pour gasoline on a dumpster fire, and you damn well know it.

You've got some bizarre theories. I've got a loaf of bread that cost $5.

how things have totally gone to shit domestically and globally the last 4 years. Enjoy your ridiculous grocery bill while the several major wars that've started on Biden's watch threaten to blow up into WWIII and burn billions
Also just utter nonsense

Government contracts are even more egregious at price gouging...who is more likely to address that? Tim Walz price gouging czar or Elon "wanna clean house" Musk. My only worry is that Elon would go overboard and trim to much.

Why can't we all just hug each other and quit arguing like little children over which person we should give all the power to? :(
Too late. I predict civil unrest (worse case, civil war) and the possibility of the birth of an authoritaritan regime.

And please, don't say "It'll never happen because this is America, or something similar." We are literally witnessing it as we speak.

There was a time when people thinking such things would be called batshit crazy.

Well the batshit crazy has become the new normal in the USA.

The social media age has definitely changed the landscape of political bullying and violence. Hard to believe (or not) that our most fundamental right to free speech (which is considered the foundation of our democracy) may also be the be the cause of our downfall.

The media isn't doing the people any favors either.

People forget that Musk was already in Trump's cabinet early in his term, and he accomplished exactly nothing before they butted heads and he was given the boot. Regardless, you shouldn't be expecting billionaires to give a shit about the cost of groceries.

External advisor ≠ cabinet appointee...But sure he wasn't exactly the Trump supporter he appears to be now. Seems a bit more motivated to contribute this go round. Time will tell

"Contributing" for Elon Musk only ever means fucking over the working class. I'm sure he is very interested in implementing Project 2025 though, fascist ketamine addict that he is.
You nerds worshipped the guy years ago until you found out he isn't on "your side" now you seethe about him daily. It really is pathetic how people flipped on Musk. Sad.

And Trump is selling $100,000 watches that cost $100 to make. You really dumb enough to believe that's the guy who's gonna crack down on corporate price gouging?

So he did Rolex better than Rolex?

Because he likes money doesn't mean that is the only thing he wants. He may want power, and people who believe in him can give him that. Why not crack down on corporate price gouging when it can give him something better?
