I'm afraid I made a mess... My switch has an Xecutor chip with SX OS installed years ago. We changed that to atmosphere and haven't looked back.
I wanted to update the switch from 17 to 18.1 to play Mario Party Jamboree. (always fun when the kids would like to play a new game and I'm freeing up my weekend to not brick the switch in updating)
Downloaded atmosphere 1.7.1 with the HATS package (youtube 4jw4nyymWgc). The update itself went 'ok' since I booted into Hekate v6.2.1. When choosing 'launch' I first got 3 options:
- CFW SysMMC
- CFW - EmuMMC
- Stock - SysMMC
When booting into CFW SysMMC I couldn't play any of the games (even when sigpatches were updated) except for Mario Party Jamboree. (mission accomplished you'd think, but now they also wanted to play an old Just dance game. The universe was not on my side
All of the other games had a cloud above them, asking to download the missing files.
Reading further on the internet, I found a tip to add a line to the bootloader config (I think), which helped me to get a 4th option in Hekate: "Atmosphere CFW".
I booted the switch and all elder games were playable again. (I confess, a happy dance might have occured)
Now for the strange part:
- Tinfoil can't start, nor does the installer (via 'Album')
- a game I installed earlier (Just Dance 2021) is not visible in Atmosphere CFW, but IS in CFW - SysMMC.
- Tinfoil CAN start in the CFW - SysMMC as well!
- Games can't be installed (Awoo nor DBI, DBI works but they can't be played)
This is where I knew I messed up

.
Any ideas how I can start with a clean slate? (keeping my games and saves of course) I'm forever grateful!
--------------
Managed to fix it by starting from a fresh install, and adding:
- project/impeeza/sys-patch (patched sys patch)
- entry.org/ ExosphereDNSMITM (block out nintendo server, after the switch crashed continuously)
