If the steps were clarified I could automate the build process and include it in a future modmii update. But if not that's fine too
What’s modmii?

It's much more of a POC versus a public release. You're right, but lot's of inexpierenced people are just asking left and right for things *even @Larsenv"* thinks that the dude can just magically rewrite the project for yt-dlp for his benefit. I think the OP (@NCP30) should state this as a POC and ignore everyone else that doesn't have a real question. Asking for help transcoding is not reasonable or easily obtainable without knowlege. Asking for an ip address or for a WAD is unacceptable and very questionable legally. Let's have reasonable expectations, and the OP should really correct the post to say its a POC if that's his/her's main intensions.

Why the heck would it be illegal to ask for a WAD?

Modmii is a windows tool that can streamline the wii modding process as well as many other wii related things.

Unless you're asking Nintendo for the wad, someone would need to break copyright laws in order to fill your request. It's against gbatemp rules to ask, but technically it's not a breach of copyright unless someone fulfills your request. It's the same as asking someone for the latest Marvel film, unless it's coming from Marvel/Disney (or someone else who has purchased distribution rights like a streaming service) no one is allowed to just give it to you without breaking copyright laws

I am back working on this again.

Does it really work?
yes, but I recommend Liinback lite from MRT84 not only is this convoluted, but it also is annoying to set up and the guy who made this (No offense) is kinda a smart ass and isn't making it for windows and Mac because he's a linux fanboy.

The problem with Liinback is that it’s never working. The server is always down.

So I'm a linux fanboy for not supporting windows? But not supporting linux does not make you a windows fanboy? Also you understand there's a windows guide? Please don't comment about a project you really haven't checked on in months. Also liinback doesn't really support video playback.

Also I don't think videos work?

listen, I'm just using someone else's words, also, I don't really like/support windows either (I use macOS) but I will admit, there's sometimes that windows is just better, and from my experience a few months ago, you kinda gave of the vibe that you would never port to windows, may I remind, one of the most used operating systems in the world. Also, playback doesn't work, and I do think this project is better, but he is working on playback.

yes.

He should know (mrt) how I told him how I did it, he just refuses to understand that it needs WebMs with VP8 and that's also why Windows wasn't supported because i couldn't find a build of FFMPEG that supported LibVPX and i didn't feel like building a building, I figured out after NexTube rewrite on newer versions of windows nget exists with the proper dependencies. It was never the project won't work on windows, it was making a guide.

MRT kind of ghosted me after May/June so idk if liinback will ever make a comeback. It's pretty sad he did help me a ton actually building the WAD.

I doubt playback would be possible on something like liinback without a very hefty VPS since you need WebMs/VP8 for the wiii to be happy Sadly hence why a fork needed to be (and also leanback v3 but that's a different thing) made. The issue with webms/vp8 is it's very demanding to convert and that's also why WiiLink will most likely never do YouTube.

Shoot, I thought that you were just a mega fan boy, I see why you didn't make it work on windows (Natively at least)

@NCP30
Hi! I did everything step by step and I'm getting an error 372902.
My OS is Windows 11
You more than likely messed up somewhere with patching the flash files. I'd check if you can access it in your browser, and if so, I'd double-check your patching of flash files. If you want and have discord or something give me the files to double check.

Good news ya'll I was able to revert some commits and get it more stable!
