In the end, the Vice-president debate was about a single point of focus for each side:

- Walz said he was in Hong Kong when the Tiananmen massacre happened, which he said he misspoke on. Way to keep your finger on the pulse of what is important for the country!

- Vance for not admitting that Trump lost the election when directly asked. That seems to be the much larger issue that independents are focusing on.

Although both of those things PALE in comparison to Jack Smith's released report which confirms more of what we already know about the attempt to steal the election. Even one of the campaign operatives (Stone or Bannon more than likely) told Trump to “make them riot”.

Almost like government is supposed to be of the people and for the people or something...
The issue is, I don't think Kamala or Trump have the best for the American people in mind. If trump gets in, he'll molest this country like he does women. If Kamala gets in, I expect her to do next to nothing, except continue the garbage foreign policy she did under Biden https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...c-policy-under-his-administration/ar-AA1rf9dv

Neither trump or kamala are our friends and they should be viewed and scrutinized heavily

Also side note, Val is still a fucking loser I see.

If the choice is molestation vs nothing, I don't think there's much of a choice.

There's very few politicians that aren't in it for themselves. The few that actually care are knee-capped by the system which is built for minority rule. But of the two options it's not even close. I'll take the run-of-the-mill do-nothing career politician over the wanna-be fascist dictator any day of the week.

Critical support is of course best practice when it comes to any politician, but I do believe Harris will genuinely try to implement all the policies she speaks about which boost the middle and working classes. Even just a continuation of Biden's stance on Ukraine and economic strategy would be infinitely superior to how Trump destroyed this country/country's integrity while in office. Also the thought of having someone who isn't old as dirt in office is just nice.

You might have called it but that's because you know it's true which begs the question of why you proposed it in the first place.

Unfortunately we use one of the worst election systems possible so voting for a third party is essentially just voting for the former president. If we could get that changed and do instant runoff or ranked choice we could start voting for third, fourth, fifth, etc. parties. The guy wants to prevent voting in the future, the girl might hear us out if we convince enough people to fix this.

Crazy to imagine how much better this country would be with RCV

No shaming here. Honestly, in this climate it's kind of impressive.

Aside from PA, MI, WI, AZ, NM, GA, or NC - your vote is entirely meaningless anyway

So if you live in the other 43 states, or DC, then by all means vote 3rd party since all votes are throwaways

If you live in the 7 states that may affect the election, or the 1 that is most likely to decide (Pennsylvania) then I would probably urge you to vote the lesser of two evils - whoever that is to you

Thanks for putting pressure on me, bro

Not quite true, several more states are within or close to being within the margin of error.
Due to the nature of polling error, if these 7 key states go one way or the other - the other states will likely share the same bias making them again redundant

So for instance if Florida (which is only a 3.2% Trump lead) goes blue - it is nearly certain Harris would have already won from the above 7 states

Again people can vote however they want, but the votes outside of those 7 states will probably not decide anything

Oooof, seems like the Democrats are extremely motivated to get the vote out early. If this level of voter turnout continues until voting day, it's going to be the humiliation of a lifetime for Trump.

Just remember: These aren't polls or spot checks in certain areas. These are the total numbers of requested mail in ballots. Which means people actively went out to ask for them, and they will be used.

This doesn't actually mean anything. Republicans generally vote in person on election day. Their party leaders are after all against mail and absentee voting and consistently preach to their constituents that it's rife with fraud and other criminal activity. A significant number of Republicans are even opposed to early voting as well.

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-r...-continue-to-differ-sharply-on-voting-access/

They also don't typically care to research ahead of time what is on the ballot, they will just vote straight R down ballot on election day.

Even I am somewhat sketchy about mail voting at the moment, though for different reasons as the GOP. Trump's appointed postmaster general (and mega donor of the orange criminal) Louis DeJoy is still running the USPS. And he came under quite a bit of fire in 2020 for allegedly attempting to stifle mail voting. Biden apparently does not have the power to fire him either unfortunately.

Yeah, even US Election Officials warn that USPS isn't ready:

That's how bad and unreliable it is right now.
