Bios for Acer Aspire One

Hey guys, I got an old mini laptop. The problem is that I can't get into the bios, I think there are no bios but I can get into boot menu... Where are my right bios?

Long story short, I reinstalled the bios but it's still not working...

Any ideas?

If you have a boot menu, then the BIOS is in place. If the BIOS is damaged PC's and laptops will just give a black screen or showing some recovery screen (boot block recovery).

I think you only need to install a operating system.

if the F12 key is not working to bring up the boot menu, boot into the bios settings(F2) go to Main, enable Boot Menu, press F10 to save and exit, then F12 to open the boot menu

Well, f12 is boot menu and f2 says it's Setup? But when I press f2, Windows boots... That's it

Thats what I was thinking too...
But like said, I can't access the Bios itself, like when I'm pressing f2 nothing happens...

This reminds me of the older Compaq days of Presario and Armada. Where the BIOS option menu was actually stored on the hard drive vs on chip with the BIOS itself. If you were to delete that partition containing the menu, there was no way to access the menu and no way to make changes to the BIOS settings.
Perhaps your laptop is setup the same way?

Maybe a stupid question, but does the F2 button on the keyboard actually work?

Sometimes it requires you to press is very earlier in the booting process. Try to start repeatedly pressing it before turning the laptop on and keep doing it while it's booting.

I had one of those, but it's not likely the Acer of the TS will have this because it's a newer 2008> model.

I'm afraid I don't know, it could be. As the bios wasn't on the laptop, it made noises when I wanted to access it. But since I "reinstalled" it, there was nothing anymore

Honestly I'm not sure, I could try to connect another keyboard and retry it. But I think I tried that already

Have youy tried Del key or other Fkeys unfornately for laptops there is no standard key to get into bios so it is Del or one of Fkeys. Only other way is install Windows 11 and have it boot into recovery then get access to the bios that way

You must fully power off the system, press power then keeping pressing the F2 key during bootup until you reach the CMOS setup.

Omg, it was the keyboard... Well before it didn't work, I guess after I flashed the bios, it worked but I didn't know...
