I guess I can post this here in case anyone is aware of a fix. I've updated atmosphere plenty of times in the past, but nothing like this...

Updates today to latest atmosphere on my OLED, using the rentry guide/AIO method. After it got to the reboot step, I got that "fatal error occurred.....incorrect fusee version."
Replaced the old fusee manually, as well as replacing the payloads.ini file in the bootloader folder.

Now the only thing that happens is the hwfly chip pulses purple for about 20 seconds, then turns to solid green for about two seconds and then no lights show, as well as screen is black.
I then have to hold down the power button about 10 seconds to ensure the system is off, because I can't get the chip to flash anymore until then.
If I take out the SD card and power it on, it flashes purple for a few seconds and then stays green and shows the "no SD" logo on the screen.
I've never seen this before where screwing up the fusee file or bootloader resulted in a completely black screen, but I guess it's not impossible? I'm hoping there's nothing actually wrong beyond some mismatch in the atmosphere files or such. Any ideas what I should do to try to get it straightened out?

First off, stop using AIO garbage. Grab Atmosphere from its repo and hekate from its repo, and extract them to the root of your card, overwriting files. Don't forget to drop the latest hekate in there and rename it to payload.bin (delete the old one).

Second, if you also just updated your firmware, starting with an official online update of sysEMMC, then you need to reset and retrain your chip (depending on how old your previous firmware was). * Shouldn't be required if you were actually brave enough to do an online update in sysCFW.

the AMS version number under the serial info disappeared on 1.7.1, was it normal or I did something wrong.

NVM. my brain was bugged, it is showing on the FW number on top

you are not on CFW you are on OFW, meaning you didn't load Atmosphère but normal HOS
