it basically is, running a file on your SD card through a DNS exploit, same basic idea

as soon as dnspresso loads up I get error code 160-2246

Good job, but why do I see so many people using this? The web exploit is much faster than this! (currently) I don't see a reason to use this instead, it's much slower and a bit more complicated to noobs.

There are several video guides who are using it as the main method for some reason. I agree, the web exploit is easier.

This wasn't even made to be already used, it's to be used if Nintendo removes the Internet Browser with a new firmware update (which I don't think will ever happen), I found multiple video guides using this, while the web exploit is working fine.

You are either missing the launch.rpx on the root of your SD Card or your SD Card isn't getting detected properly.
