Yes.is it bad that i think ai-generated images shouldn't go here
Why ask at all if you don't want to hear the answer?
Because I figured there'd be someone around here that'd recognize that memes are funnier when made by something with an actual soul. Why ask at all if you don't want to hear the answer?
AI generated images don't just appear out of thin air. Someone (presumably with an actual soul) had to think of an amusing scene and then wrangle the creation utility the result was, in their opinion, good enough for the interwebz (a low bar to clear, but still). It's no different than any other creation tool in that regard. Where is the cutoff? What's the acceptable level of computer involvement in making a meme? Or do you think it's lazy? Compared to other memes here? We have stock photos with captions. Screenshots. Tweets. Talk about zero effort. Not to mention that 99% of it is just stolen from other websites.Because I figured there'd be someone around here that'd recognize that memes are funnier when made by something with an actual soul.
Reasonable take but the AI stuff itself is a meme.is it bad that i think ai-generated images shouldn't go here
Fair, I guess.Reasonable take but the AI stuff itself is a meme.
At leas a stock photo took the effort of a photographer setting the scene and coordinating a model or two, and still, screenshots take SOME effort, and so does reposting. All ai generation is is telling a machine to slap shit together until the Slop Image Result looks good enough. Sure, screenshots and reposts are argubaly lazier, but I'm moreso talking about the process of the meme being created, not being posted to here.AI generated images don't just appear out of thin air. So the value of a post is not its content, but the amount of work it took to make it?At leas a stock photo took the effort of a photographer setting the scene and coordinating a model or two, and still, screenshots take SOME effort, and so does reposting. Sounds communistSo the value of a post is not its content, but the amount of work it took to make it?
Both. The end product and how it was created are both important to me, a machine has no passion. It has no love nor hate, it has no feeling. True memes come from the heart, even if mere shitposts. So the value of a post is not its content, but the amount of work it took to make it?
I guess Nintendo took family-friendly to a whole another level.Idc about the debate, this is just a funny meme

Well, I will admit it's funny to see AI fail to know about things, especially when the image clearly looks AI made like it does here.Idc about the debate, this is just a funny meme
