So weird story,
Recently my PS2 fat started making strange noises from the drive and games froze at loading screens, couldn’t find any resembling topic on the internet so I took it apart.
The main dvd ribbon came loose while dissembling, I plugged it back in.
The drive is alive, although the spindle motor and laser don’t move (the laser itself is moving up and down) .
Leaving it as is (wanted to freeboot it), connecting it to the tv (via hdmi adapter) and no video, connected it to another tv (with the original av cables), nothing. Of course I tried the blind video output switcheroo.
Is my ps2 committing suicide?
Or is it simply not worth it and getting another one would be better?
