The other issue is forming a proper opinion usually involves reading some articles, and forming a wrong opinion often involves the phone playing you 50 videos in a row without any requirement for higher thought

There is a video in Quebec about a (deppressing) teacher yelling at his students because of how spoilled they are. And he talks about this very thing, about how his generation sent satellites in space to connect their phones to all of the knowledges of humanity, and what do they (today's generation) do with it? They do snapchat of their dick... they challenge people to eat tidepods... wow...

I bet he had the same speech ranted at him about some previous technology. "We dug miles of trenches and channels to draw phone lines and you use it for phone sex! Or even further, "We invented the printing press and movable type to educate people and you use it to publish Playboy!"

The true sign of progress is when a previously mind-blowing technology becomes mundane and "kids these days" take it for granted. And use it for porn
