What dump are you using?

Btw, forgot to mention this earlier, Jojo's bizarre adventure presents an issue where it shows graphical corruption at the bottom of the screen sometimes after changing aspect ratios, and i believe sometimes happens at the top too, for some people this will be cropped by their TV sets.

Bubsy 3D - Furbitten Planet (USA) - works perfect with music
Bugs Bunny - Lost in Time (USA) (En,Fr,Es) - works perfect with music
Bugs Bunny & Taz - Time Busters (USA) (En,Fr,Es) - works perfect with music
Looney Tunes Racing (USA) (En,Fr,Es) - works perfect with music
Re-Volt (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It) - game loads fine but plays with 20 FPS, too slow during racing
Strider 2 (USA) - works perfect with music

Try booting that game on the improved "old" PPC dynarec.
Or, try using a BIN/CUE.

I think it's a Lightrec issue, or something else. Maybe try loading it with the improved "old" PPC dynarec?

It is a question of fidelity and formats, as a user do not worry about it. The games work fine in both PBP and CHD. I myself had all my games in PBP format in the default compression (the maximum) and I didn't get any additional errors due to the format.

Now with the latest update you also have the option to play them in CHD format, which I recommend if you want to save even more space than using PBP. I already have all my games in CHD and as I said before everything works normally.

Which games are more compressed in PBP than in CHD? To me the CHD format has compressed more in all games compared to PBP.
Ok I thought by "information loss" you meant that the PBP format ruined some parts of the game, thanks for the reply
Regarding game compression, I had taken a quick look at the difference in size with some games and I hadn't found big differences (like Bloody Roar 1 which in PBP format weighs the same as the CHD) but looking closer now there are some games that are compressed almost double compared to the PBP and in that case I will obviously replace them, with others however the difference is minimal (max 50mb) and at that point I will leave them like this for now
I'll try the new build with the CHD tomorrow @SaulFabre thank you for the great effort you put into WiiStation
Is there any news for titles like Bedlam and Defcon 5 or is nothing changing for now? in the meantime I left them in the HDD, waiting to be able to use them, so I no longer have to add new titles to the collection

Sadly no.
Trying to improve CDROM emulation in PCSX is hard.
Also trying to merge the latest CDROM code from PCSX-ReARMed without affecting the actual current compatibility is very very hard, because it needs to be adapted for run on Wii hardware and not to break working features and i don't know a simpler way for do it.

Also, improving emulators take even lots of time. Im really really short of free time now, so if anyone can help with merging latest code from PCSX-ReARMed, i'll give 10 stars and a bonus gold medal for achieveing it without breaking anything.

@marchrius
The "color swap" issue is because of the implemebration of the pixel color optimization on P.E.Op.S. Soft GPU plugin, taken from WiiSX.
But it's temporal, cause the colors in the game will end up looking normal :v
Post automatically merged:
Ok good to know, in fact colors look ok afterwards! Do you have any idea about the flickering? I can provide a video

If it may be useful to anyone, I would like to inform you that looking at some games to replace in CHD format, I have so far found 2 games that are compressed more in PBP format:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (PBP 267 - CHD 380)
Sled Storm (PBP 302 - CHD 455)

Doesn't make a difference sadly 🤔

I think it's related to having enabled both Interlaced and Frameskip options.
Sadly, having these two enabled causes issues, same thing happened in Tekken 3.
Try disabling one of these options: or disable Interlaced or disable Frameskip.

@SaulFabre Ninja shadow of darkness in CHD, crashes when finishing the first phase in wiistation 0.0.4 test
Try these two things:
- Use BIN/CUE instead of CHD
- Switch to the improved "old" PPC dynarec

also, if you have any chance, try with a different release from another region,

you should specify which region you are playing, so one of us could check the other regional releases for the game.

CHD sizes are mostly different when it comes to regional releases.

Tried every combination of those two without success. Not a huge deal anyway, it's just the intro, I skip that all the time :)
