My Switch stopped booting/charging and I suspect it's one of the ICs that commonly fail. The repair cost is higher than just buying a new mainboard, though. So my question is, if I replace the mainboard, could I restore my NAND backup to the new board, or is that somehow tied to the internal emmc storage? And if it's the latter, could I just take the eemc chip off the old Switch and put it on the new board?

eMMC data encrypted to individual SOC, unless you have the prod.key and dump & decrypt then transfer to new NAND

@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
