I have yet to make a mech or a cocksword most of mines have just been really stupid ways to go straight up mostly cause I haven't found many flat pieces I can use. I did however find that certain things have a max of attachable parts.

I have just started creating flying things out of non flying parts because they last longer. I.e a drone like vehicle using fans and a board or metal square and a control stick. That last way longer then the flying bird surf board.

Yeah but at least they last longer and unless they added in actual physics were you can make propellers out of wheels and logs that's the best you can get ATM. Plus to be honest there isn't anything you would really need for very long in the game. 90% of it is either in shrines/underground where vehicles have less use due to super uneven terrain. The rest of the time you can just auto build everything back. If you wanna fly across the world in one go just yeet yourself using one of the many speed running tactics otherwise it's short lived flying surf boards and longer lived drones for you. Until someone makes a permanent building blocks cheat.

tbf, once you find the orb machines that deal them out it's not that bad. considering you'll want a bigger battery to be able to actually use the vehicle it's not like it's a great idea to be going for advanced builds right away anyway
