Is there a mod for XC3 to disable/reduce the post battle dialogue? I'm tired of hearing that Lanz wants something a bit meatier.

Are the motes of light still missing? I really want to replay the game via emulation but I feel the cutscenes are not the same without these particles. The last time I test the game (about a three months ago) in both yuzu an ryujinx the motes are missing or not showing properly.

I think it depends on your GPU. The fix for motes came very shortly before I upgraded from an AMD RX 480 to a Nvidia RTX 3060, so while I do mostly have the motes with my 3060, I'm not sure if I'd also have the motes with my old 480.

Yuzu's recent massive upgrade to stuff on normal GPU accuracy was also supposed to fix a lot of similar problems in other games, though I'm not sure if it impacted the motes in XC3 any.

Your best bet is to actually test the game with the newest EA build of Yuzu to see if the motes show up or not.

Its there on yuzu. The red ones loaded properly, but blue ones have some issues, although it there too.

Hi , I am new here and its been really bugging me for a while that i cant hit a stable 30 fps in this game. it stays 29-31 and then drops midway in a non stress region to 22~26 for no reason. can anyone provide me any tips for what i should toggle on/off or install a new mod or something ?
i have a laptop with an i7=9750h , gtx 1650 , 16 gigs of ram.

Try setting Yuzu to "High" Process Priority (done through the Task Manager).

I tried barely does anything + I am getting these full on white graphical error midway through the game. I am thinking of playing this title through opengl or should i still stick to vulkan ?

I watched videos with the same GPU and they all dip below 30fps. So it seems to be a GPU performance issue. There are three options. Lower resolution and use mods to turn down graphics. Buy a better GPU. Or wait for the next Yuzu Gaia/Lime update.

Try using the latest Yuzu EA build at normal GPU accuracy.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to switch to OpenGL, and more than likely switch to Ryujinx (I'm not sure how well Yuzu works with AMD GPUs for this game in OpenGL, but a few months ago, when I played the main game, Ryujinx had better performance in OpenGL than Yuzu).

The Pentalas Region just does not like AMD GPU's using Vulkan.

When I played the main game, I played in Yuzu with Vulkan, then when I got to Pentalas I switched to OpenGL in Ryujinx, and then back to Yuzu/Vulkan once I exited Pentalas. it was definitely annoying only getting like 10-15 FPS (I was only getting like 5 FPS in OpenGL with Yuzu) in the entire Pentalas Region, but it was still fully playable; and both emulators have gotten quite a few updates since then, so performance in OpenGL may be better for you. I was playing with an i5-7600K (not overclocked) + AMD RX 480 8GB GPU.

I've since upgraded to a Nvidia RTX 3060, so I can't check the current performance of the emulators to tell you which setup that avoids that glitch works best, since Nvidia GPUs don't experience this graphical glitch.

The NVIDIA graphics have visual glithches dude, I said you :( vertex explosions

Hello, everyone!
I may be a bit daft, but I've been trying to install the cheat that removes background music in XC3 on the Yuzu emulator. I found that the codes are:

[Disable Chain Attack BGM]
04090000 00D68844 D503201F

[Disable Pause Menu BGM]
04090000 00D69BA8 D503201F

[Disable Rest Spot BGM]
04090000 00D13318 D503201F

But I do not understand where to properly install them for them to work.

Right now I have them under AppData\Roaming\yuzu\load\010074F013262000\cheats\8E18600222CE90C2.txt , but that doesn't work. People say that you need to activate it under properties, but it doesn't show up there.
Tried changing it to \load\010074F013262000\cheats\exefs\8E18600222CE90C2.pchtxt, which makes it appear in the list of Add-ons, but it still does not work.

I currently have the 2.0.0 version installed with the Wave 4 mods.

EDIT: Okaaaay I was just stupid, nevermind me lol.
For any future readers, the way you install mods is by making a folder with the cheat's name first, and then dropping the file there, so it should looks like AppData\Roaming\yuzu\load\010074F013262000\[Literally any folder name]\cheats\8E18600222CE90C2.txt , then it appears in the Yuzu Add-Ons as a cheat that you can turn on.

A few:
Disable DOF
Disable chromatic Aberration
Remove Motion Blur
Remove Outlines
Emu Scaler Enabler (resolution set to 2x)
Ah, it's probably the remove outlines I'm seeing. Where can I get that one working on the current version of the game?

EDIT - Found it, and the rest. Discovered I probably had a few outdated mods installed as well and got those updated...should be interesting.

Hello, first I wanted to say thank you to everyone who worked on these mods, and also to the people contributing in this thread. It has been very helpful.

I wanted to ask three things:

1) Is it me, or does XBC3 have worse Anti-Aliasing than XBC2? I seem to be noticing a lot more shimmering in buildings and in other objects than I ever did in XBC2.

and

2) (Related to AA) I also noticed the "Emu Scaling Enabled" mod which allows you to use the emulator's internal scaling multiplier seems to also disable the (already poor) Anti-Aliasing in the game. I checked the patch and the author left a note inside saying that AA is indeed disabled.

Is there any way to get a version of the "Emu Scaling Enabled" mod with working AA? Or was it necessary to disable the AA in order for the mod to work? I'd love a version with AA working.

3) Lastly, how would one go about using the Graphics Settings mod on Yuzu? Currently it is not allowed to ask this question in the thread for the Graphics Settings mod; the one where you edit the lib .json file in a text editor, configure the graphical settings, and then run the python script to turn it into a .bin again. I already did those steps but it doesn't seem to "load" with Yuzu, even if it appears checkmarked in the game properties.

In the meantime I'm using the "2K" and "Disable Scaling" mods. From what I understand, the "2K" mod is a higher resolution in-game than the "1080P Gameplay & Cutscenes" mod, right?

Have you used the SMAA option in the graphics settings?
