I'm stuck in the Luma Configuration menu

Hi guys. While I was trying to mod my 2DS, i got into the Luma Configuration menu, but since i found out that my START button was broken, i can't turn back to the main menu. Even shutting the console down doesn't work. What can I do?

it probably acts like it's been pressed even when it's not. might have to alter the source code.

You need the start button to apply the config, you might need a custom build if your start button is broken.

yes, I don't know code, but I'm very good at compiling. I changed the button in buttons.h. hopefully, it's correct.

Well, basically you will need to clone the repo (https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS.git) first.

Next the file you want to change is in /arm9/source/buttons.h inside the repo. (Check here for "live preview": https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/blob/master/arm9/source/buttons.h)

After you made the changes according to your needs (you will probably want to change every occurrence of BUTTON_SELECT to whatever BUTTON_* you want instead).

The harder part comes last: you need to compile it. Here you find a list of all dependencies Luma has: https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS?tab=readme-ov-file#building-from-source

You would need to install them first, then you can compile Luma.

I hope this is what you are looking for. Please bear with me that I will not install all those deps and compile it for you. Maybe someone else is volunteering ... I'm seriously out of space on my desktop PC right now

My console is permanently detecting the select button as pressed and whenever I power I boot in the luma config menu and I can't pass bcs when I press any button is freezes. I tried to compilate my own build for luma but it is so difficult to understand. I think it requires previous computing knowledge. Could you make a build to bypass select button?

If it's indeed a faulty select button it wouldn't prevent the 3ds from booting up to the home menu after pressing start on Luma menu. Sounds like it's something else
