I would like let you know that I just got the banned message. I have been testing tesla overlay on it and get many tesla crashes.
I will not ever use tesla overlay on any switch that I need to keep online on.

Anything else worth noting regarding your device when you got banned?

I never installed tinfoil, any pirated games or sigpatches. only my atmosphere build and JKSV, and edizon. I had this switch since 2017 and been running cfw on it since 2018 and I never used any ban protections on it. I am always online in cfw 100% of the time.

So sorry that this happened, that's soul crushing since you had no reason to expect it. This is really concerning as those are the usual ban triggers, like concerning enough that I wouldn't do online CFW until this is narrowed down. Would you mind listing what games you were testing the overlay on as well as all the .nros on your SD?

What apps or overlays were you using? Please let us know as that could be useful.

(PS No one should judge you for using Cheats or Unofficial Installs (Forwarders, Games, Menu Homebrew) It's important to disclose if you were using them as those are known to cause bans in and of themselves).

I hope that this is recent. I did use Tesla Overlay and I did get many crashes lately, but it bothered me so much I just removed it and enabled cheats manually.
No ban so far, but I'll provide updates. just in case.

You must have fucked up on something to get your console banned. There have been no reported ban cases of someone using Tesla overlay or any overlay of that matter then getting banned after crashes. People start bitching and or making up lies covering up the fact they got banned for doing other risky things. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Quit spreading lies. Retrace your steps carefully instead of possibly causing fear among others.

Crashes are redirected to Atmosphere, the logs that are sent with game crashes when cheats are on for example, don't include anything that is dirty that would pose a risk to your console warranting a ban.

This isn't 2018 anymore.

I never use any fowarders or unoffical installs.

I did use cheats thou.... it may be from that part.
but I have been running cheats since the start (2019)

I never used unofficial installs, forwarders. I don't have sigpatches or tinfoil.

I only use Edizon overlay
I used to use Pokemon overlay couple years ago.
I removed it. I remove any not needed apps or overlays.

I have

nros: nxthemes, jksv, sysdvr, nxdumptool (I only used it to dump romfs from one game)
reboot to hekate and reboot to payload and daybreak.

sysmodules: sysdvr, sysftpd, tesla, sysbase

What cheats are you using exactly, also what games have you cheated in?

Pokemon Violet shiny+6IV and held items and switching Pokemon.

Tesla overlay was crashing in that game bad.

Well I did hear a while back that the pokemon company might be cracking down on cheating in their games.

Also another question I'd like to ask, have you ever changed your profile icon or restored a nand backup?

I never restored nand backup or changed my profile icon.
I know that changing profile image is big ban risk.

What Pokemon were you using these codes for? Were any shiny locked? And were they traded or used online in any way?

I'm not judging at all, only curious because I was thinking about using overlays and some cheats in Pokemon SV as well. Like max items, encounter codes, 100% catch rate, stuff like that. Nothing that would be obviously flagged online.

Up until this point I've used EmuNand with Nintendo servers blocked and a blanked prodinfo to play everything (even stuff I own physical copies of) to avoid possible bans. I rarely boot into Stock and only then to update if needed (I think my stock firmware is still on 12 lol). In the past I've played my physical games and connect to eshop in Stock. But I was considering to use SysCFW online now since it less risky than when I originally got & modded my switch. I wanted to transfer my saves (Pokemon Sword & Shield, Pokemon LGPE, Pokemon BDSP, Zelda BOTW) from EmuNand to SysNand to play online in CFW now without doing anything that would obviously warrant a ban (like I've done on my offline EmuNand). But reading this has made me rethink about doing that with Pokemon Violet or Scarlett for a while until it's figured out what has caused this.

Accidentally installed illegal nsp on my sys cfw and opened it up thinking I was in emu.
Will report back when I get banned.

Hi guys.. so I just bought a new nintendo switch with SX OS chip already installed.. I just wanna ask, is there still have any risk of being banned if we play online using original FW boot? Is nintendo still can detect my .XCI and .NSP games installed on my microSD? (I only connect to internet while using OFW boot)
Thank you for your answer.. :)
Yo have you been banned? I am on the same boat as you.

I was doing offline play. not online. I was testing the cheats for shiny pokemon and switch pokemons with tesla overlay.
I think crash reports got it flagged for ban?????? I know atmosphere do redirect crashes to logs.

You know that Galarian three bird legendaries are not possible to get in-game, right?...
Even if you play offline, when you cheat something that is not possible to get in-game, you will get flagged once you go online.

Honestly I can't say much since I am on the same boat because dumbass me accidentally downloaded an illegal nsp on sys cfw, so I prob am gonna get banned soon as well. :(

I was in the assumption that the pokemon company only does account ban on pokemon games? I didn't know they'll even do console bans. Btw are you playing on cfw sysnand?
