Edit: So, the problem is, the USB-C isn't transferring data anymore. Charging and video pass through the dock works, but anything regarding data transmission (LAN adapters, USB controllers, and injecting payloads) does not work. It has just broken overnight, and I suspect some internal component has broken due to some surge problem. Does anyone know the exact chip or component that needs to be replaced?
UPDATE: An update to anyone interested: indeed the thing broken is the USB-C port and not any CPU chip. I tried again and the ethernet adapter works but it is extremely finicky. I have not send it to get fixed but yeah, the solution appears to be to weld a new USB-C port, though I heard it can be a little risky.
NEWER UPDATE: shit was just dusty lol. Open it up, clean it up and it should get fixed. A toolbrush won't do, at least it didn't for me.
