A few weeks ago I had an issue with my Vita getting error C1-2741-4 when booting some games, and they would refuse to launch. Strangely, this error would occur on my Vita TV, but not my Vita 2000. As a PSA, I thought I would mention the cause of the error (in my case): my new-ish SanDisk Ultra SD card was bad.

If you get this error, immediately transfer all your data to a new SD card, then format your old card. The error should then go away.

Some casualties that this error can cause:
- Some games will stop booting
- Game saves can corrupt
- Config files can corrupt, requiring a system reset

Help, guys! Occasionally I have a hiccup with enso where the vita loops on startup and won't boot, just getting a blank screen, then it eventually shuts down. It's been so long since it happened that I forgot what to do and figured recovery mode was the way to go. Not sure I did it right, though, held L upon startup and I went through a progress bar and when it was finished the Vita loaded it appeared as though enso didn't load and none of my hacks/apps are showing on the main screen and the memory card (SD2VITA) doesn't show up on the system information, nor the henkaku/enso settings. Browser won't let me install henkaku because I already have it (I assume this is the reason, firmware is 3.65 so it is compatible) but I can't access molecular shell. I have been here before and fixed this issue but it has been so long I don't recall. Can someone remind me what I need to do to get the plugins working again? Do I need to reinstall something through the browser? I'm still just getting a blank screen after a normal startup, rebuilding the database through recovery mode isn't working, either. Based on an attempt to refresh installation of henkaku, the memory card is not recognized. If any other info is needed, let me know. Thanks!

Thanks, but while I have experience with homebrew and whatnot, most of my technical prowess is simply transferring stuff, lol. Based on all that overwhelming information I'm not sure I follow with what exactly I am supposed to do. Would seem I need Content Manager to run this but Vita wants to make me update thr system to newest system software. Will that work? Doesn't appear this goes past 3.73.

Edit: something is amiss. After fumbling around with it for a while I got the Vita to start back up with the SD2VITA intact but now everytime I start it up it just boots the message screen then hangs on a black screen and eventually just shuts down, once this happened after it automatically tried to rebuild the database by itself, and if I do it from recovery mode it just hangs on the message screen and also shits down. Think I can only get to the main screen by disabling plugins now. What is going on? And how do I get this thing working again?

@RagahRagah ,if you had henkaku enso installed does it mean that you were able to hack your PS Vita or did someone else do it for you? Copy all the contents of the SDcard on your pc and then follow this guide.

Initially someone did it for me but something got screwed up and I had to redo it all myself and managed to follow a guide and accomplish it. There were a few issues, but trial-and-error managed to overcome which tends to be the case with most of the issues I've managed to resolve. What few common issues have arisen have been so far apart that I forget how to resolve them when they reappear and have to refamiliarize myself with them, as is the case here.

Before I go further, the update is as follows: Somehow with more trial-and-error fiddling, my Vita is now fully functioning and Enso shows all the signs of working again (settings are all there), but the SD2VITA is still not recognized (even the attempt to "reinstall" henkaku through the browser mentioned there is no memory card inserted).

@RagahRagah ,install autoplugin 2 and configure sd2vita from the app.

@Hayato213 ,i have already suggested it to him and given the link.
Yeah, and like I said most of what I see there is gibberish to me, lol. If it's as simple as running the exe file while the Vita is connected to Content Manager that is fine but the Vita prompts me to update to 3.74 and the guide suggests compatibility up to 3.72 so I am hesitant ATM; I have to know exactly what I'm doing here.

But again, this has happened to me before and I wish I knew what I did to get around it because it certainly wasn't a complicated process or anything like this.

Still hoping for an answer to this. Definitely can't go thorough with the process if I don't know if the firmware is compatible.

use qcma.
This isn't really an answer.

Use it to do what?

I've gotten numerous responses lacking some detail suggesting numerous methods to fix this issue. I need to get the full details/questions answered on at least one of them, lol. I know this can't be that complex an issue if I know I have fixed it before.

you're using cma aren't you? qcma doesn't force you to update.
One of the previous posters linked me to something in which the easiest method was to use CMA but yes, CMA was telling me I had to update to a firmware higher than what it said was compatible to use the application.

None of this apparently matters because at the point where I am supposed to connect the Vita and use CMA, the Vita does not recognize my memory card (SD2VITA), which is my entire problem here as I stated (which is why I can't access my hacks, Henkaku is working fine otherwise); so the process came to a halt because CMA tells me I need a memory card to use the application, so I am stuck. So I'm guessing h-encore isn't actually the tool to fix my problem. Am I missing something here? I simply need the Vita to recognize my SD2Vita again.

You got access to Henkaku?

Yes, I posted an update saying Henkaku was working again, just that my SD2VITA was not recognized by the Vita now (which was always the issue I had had previously, I just don't remember how I used to resolve it anymore).

When this is over I need to understand what I did (I believe it was holding L during the startup process attempting to find recovery mode) to cause this issue and how to properly handle the Vita not turning on properly next time, lol.
