Hi Everyone,
This is my first post although I've been reading and learning a lot from all other posts within this forum.

I'm aware that the Boom Blox Bash Party is compatible with Wii U Wii injection at wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/WiiU_VC_Wii_inject_compatibility_list (I can't post links yet)

I've used TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector 3.0.1 on "Boom Blox Bash Party (USA) (En,Fr,Es).wbfs", tested with both:
1. Ordinary build and
2. Build with "Advanced -> Don't trim game output" checked

For both the above builds, the game simply stop at blank screen. At blank screen, I can see that my USB HDD simply went idle (Wii U has Blue LED). After which, I can only power off the Wii U and power it on again, as the Home button etc wouldn't let me return to the Wii U Menu.

I've tried to run SysCheck HacksDen Edition to post my SysCheck here unfortunately it doesn't appear on my Homebrew Launcher. Here's my system at my best knowledge:
- Wii U 5.5.5 J
- Tiramisu + Aroma
- Homebrew Launcher v2.1 fix by Dimak

Thank you very much!

Syscheck is strictly for vWii. Afaik it doesn't have anything to do with WiiVC titles but I could be wrong. Since the game in question is listed as compatible, Im wondering if it's just a bad dump. I would try another copy of the game and see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks for the response. I've actually obtained the game from 2 various sources (file sizes are the same though), tried the EU version also but both ended up the same. I'm not sure if there is anything else I could do to fix it?

I have no issues with other Wii builds on my Wii U. With much regret, this is my most favourite title yet it is the one that couldn't play.

I've just tested with a .iso download instead of .wbfs, have no luck too. Same issue with black screen.

Looks like the only way I can play the Boom Blox Bash Party is by loading it into a USB drive through Wii Backup Manager, run within USB Loader GX, specifically set the Game IOS to 251 and Game Language to English. Failing to set even either one of these would result in the game being completely black in USB Loader GX too.

Since Game IOS and Game Language seem critical for this game in USB Loader GX, I'm wondering whether there's anyway I can manually change these settings in Tecon, to ensure the injection is done with the right settings build?

Cheers!

That I'm honestly not sure about. I would wait for someone else to chime in

Yeah I can't seem to find any resources on Tecon's to do make such changes. I further confirm that Wiiflow also requires Game ISO to be set to 251 and Game Language to English. Failing to change either one would result in total black screen too.

If I remember correctly ( correct me if I'm wrong, please. ) not all vc injects work properly with Tiramisu / Aroma. So just to verify this I would try creating and / or launching an inject without Tiramisu / Aroma active and seeing if there's any difference. ( So basically testing on a legacy CFW )

Also have you tried using other methods of VC Installation? Such as UWUVCI?

I don't have a lot to offer in the way of helping with VC Injects as it's probably the one thing I didn't do when I was modding.

Good information, so thank you. But my console also broke months ago, lol.

I've just been trying to help in the Wii U side of the forums occasionally.
Not too difficult on finding one for very cheap.

I have not tried other methods because mine is a Japanese Wii U hence having Aroma is crucial else most of my Wii U games wouldn't work just to give way to this legacy Boom Blox Bash Party :wtf:

Here's a good guide on how to: gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-create-professional-virtual-console-injects.439224

Thanks, I'm not a pro but based on the article, this method seems to be suitable for the retro consoles' titles to be injected into Wii, not for Wii's title to be injected into the Wii U

Yes it is cheap, and that's why I picked up the Wii U Japanese version, lol

If I remember correctly Haxchi is a Region-Free CFW anyways, so if you did switch to Legacy your games would most likely still work.
Haxchi itself isn't region free. On the ote hand CBHC is but that's outdated and risky. Really not recommended. I would recommend the OP runs mocha from HBL before trying to launch the game. If that doesn't work, perhaps try launching the game with spiik if that's even possible with a WiiVC title. Im not sure it is tho

Not sure. Like I said VCs were basically the one thing I never did, so the help I can offer is limited.

Another possibility would just be editing the Region XML, but that's also risky if you mess with it, so also not recommended.
