LOZ: Tears of the Kingdom Dynamic fps, static fps, and visual fixes patch collection 0.5.0

fps++ 30 breaks physics

Explain how this happens and I will look into it
I'm trying to use the 60fps FMVs with the static FPS. What do you mean we need to "enable" the two lines noted?

I opened it up in notepad it and it says "remove for cutscene fix," do you want us the remove the two lines under or remove all the slashes or what?

You need to add those removed lines in the start/stop block
When I use 60 fps static mod I can't reach the Soriotan shrine chest. The mechanism turns, but the door does not open (I disable all mods except that one to check).

I'm playing on Yuzu EA 3602 with last update (1.1.1) and 0.4.4 patch collection.
*review update using ver. 4.4 runs well so far other small issues listed below*
(Mod is great 2 star for attention in regards to testing and bug reports.)
(Ryujinx, docked, 3x, vulkan, graphics backend multithreading auto, upscale bilinear, anisotropic filtering 16x, 16:9 ratio)
*testing on ver 1.1.1 mods being used listed below*
-60fpsblackscreenfix (from elsewhere)
-fps++
-visualfixes_1008p_fxaa_on_fsr_off
-Visualfixes_anisotropicfix
-visualfixes_disablequalityreduction
-visualfixes_disabletargetingDOF
-visualfixes_shadowresolution
Rig specs 3090ti FE, 13900k, Ddr5 2x16 32gb 6600ram

So far I'm liking this setup and will be testing for the next couple hours and will reupdate if any other bugs are found.
Currently
-menus are sped up when triggers are used to change tabs
-after a cutscene seems theres a chance for the game to stay stuck at 30fps instead reverting back to 60fps.. tested by viewing memories in menu, upon watching a second memory and upon completion of it gameplay stayed locked at 30fps.. quick fix was to watch another memory but then quickly just skip it and it reverted back to 60fps
-while skydiving/paragliding shorelines textures and or far of distant objects produce noise/weird textures.

Shorelines textures thing is a Ryujinx bug. Menus thing is documented in the known bugs. Cutscene thing is also known
The game can softlock if you update it to 1.1.1 even without mods installed. Just letting you guys know to be aware of it.
I was going to do the ganon fight and the cutscene that is supposed to play that if you either have the sages or not depending on how you go down there, never loaded. With or without mods. I don't know if that can happened on Ryu, I am using Yuzu to play the title but be aware of it.
After using FPS++MOD, opening the backpack after the game is automatically saved will cause the simulator itself to stop processing and directly shut down. In addition, it works very well. Bug feedback comes from the Yuzu simulator.
great mods, was working fine yesterday but when i try to launch the game today it crashes the entire emulator.Im using yuzu stable btw. Does anyone have a fix for this?please help
DON'T USE FITGIRL'S ROM IT WON'T WORK WITH THESE MODS EVEN AFTER UPDATING TO 1.1.1
Thank you for adding the Patch Description. it was impossible to figure out what to use before !!!

Please add recommendation of what mods to for for low/medium/high hardware setups. Thank you!

I've only got a pretty high-end hardware setup, so that's not something that I can test myself. That being said, I don't think the mods you might want to use will really change that much.

I should put the menu thing in the known bugs. It happens because of another (more important) fix. I will have a fix for this in the future.
1 star just to get your attention, mod is great and I will continue testing the fps++ later. Anyway I remember earlier on you making a mention of a 120fps mod and can't find that mention anymore.. wondering if that's still on the table I'd sure love to test it

You can unlock the framerate (ctrl+u on yuzu, vsync off on ryujinx) with it for now to do this, but it will speed up internal timers even more. I'm working on other bugs right now, but when that is all sorted out I will see what I can do to make it more compatible.
thank you for your work. with the mods the game runs wonderfully at 60fps. now and then small stutters. but I noticed that the last three stables I had discovered are still not displayed on the map.

60fps_stable_static
CutsceneFix_stable
DynamicFPS
VisualFixes_1008P_Chuck
VisualFixes_AnisotropicFix
VisualFixes_DisableDynamicResolution_totk
VisualFixes_DisableQualityReduction
VisualFixes_DisableTargetingDOF_totk
VisualFixes_DisableDynamicResolution_totk
VisualFixes_ShadowResolution
VisualFixes_DisableFXAA
VisualFixes_DisableFSR
Physics are buggy with the FPS++ mod but other than that looks promising!
This works great.
I just have one problem with the VisualFixes_DisableDynamicResolution that makes my yuzu crash as soon as the game starts.
This mod pack works great.

I have a 5900x and a 3080 with 32 GB of ram and consistently get about 50-60 fps on Yuzu 3600.
I'm using these mods and have had no real issues.

60fpsBlackscreenFix
VisualFixes_1008P_Chuck
VisualFixes_AnisotropicFix
VisualFixes_DisableQualityReduction
VisualFixes_DisableTargetingDOF_totk
VisualFixes_DisableDynamicResolution_totk
VisualFixes_ShadowResolution
VisualFixes_DisableFXAA_Patch1.1.1
VisualFixes_DisableFSR
fps++

The only thing I'd request is a version of fps++ that works with the re-encoded 60 fps cutscenes as if you try to use them with fps++ the prerendered cutscenes play at 30 fps but the audio gets out of sync.
I'm so happy so many are dedicated to getting this to run better.
The FPS++ continues to improve on my rig however the stutters sometimes take 3 seconds or so to clear.
OpenGL seems to run better rather there are blinking textures. I know my pc isnt fancy but I really hope it can run this better eventually. I've been checking here often.
Ryzen 5 2600, 8gb, 1060 3gb, 2x SSD (for game and page)
Noticed less frame drops using fps++ and overall a smoother gameplay, but the audio on the cutscenes desyncs for some reason.
On the other hand sound in cutscenes is great running on 60fps_stable_static + DynamicFPS + CutsceneFix_stable.
Running on Yuzu EA 3600
Thank you! I can confirm that VisualFixes_DisableFXAA works now, everything is shown!
First of all a BIG THANK YOU to everyone working on emulators and mods, you are god sent !

I found out that the game works better when I don't give in to the urge to update every mod every time, remember "Don't fix it if it's not broken"

So far I have a smooth experience on Ryujinx with :
60fps
Cutscene fix
Anisotropic fix
Shadow resolution fix (fixed my gloom textures in depth)
1008P_FXAA_Off_AO_Fix
Xbox UI mod (including the black background fix)

Playing on 6900 XT / 5600X / 16Go
Hey bro, everything was running great until i tried to change weapons or abbilities, thenk a black screen appeared, happens everytime. Thanks for all you do.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
