What makes offensive material offensive?

I do doubt that 'humans' at one time did not find ANYTHING offensive. In the case of animals, I'm sure they find other animals pissing on thier piss tree offensive, albeit in a watered-down sense of the word. lmao

I guess animals find things 'offensive' (if we can use that word here) if they interfer with reproduction or survival.

Thanks for being such a good sport Overman1977. I hate the fact that I intentionally came out as a douche bag type person to attract wide ranges of feedback. I should have created a new account so I wouldn't have some harsh stigma associated with my name, but what's done is done =P.

I see your point with animals, but there must have existed a time before the first animal ever peed (lol). I mean our specific example can be taken abstractly in the sense that there must of been a time where the first human was born and there wasn't a possibility of things being offensive. But that case is often uninteresting as there can't be any interactions with just one person.

I should actually be wrapping it up. I am actually very elementary in the logic stage. I have taken a few courses in logic which includes sentential, primitive, predicate, and other various forms of languages of logic but I really do want to expand so much in the field of logic. Most of my colleges in the mathematics department have taken lots of logic and I am barely touching on the subject. Some mathematicians get caught so much in their research, they lose touch of the sociological atmosphere they are in. I fear I am heading in that direction and I can easily take some examples of my posts to support that.

I like how it can be labeled as a thought experiment because that's exactly how this turned out to be. My thoughts about things are really random and they come and go. But if I post a thread, I am prepared for an intellectual workout and sometimes I can get people to agree with me and some other times I look like a complete failure (similar to this thread lol).

Failure or not, I know one thing for sure. I have learned alot more from my failures than I have from my successes.

And while I may have disagreed with your arguments for the most part, that does not mean that you did not make vaild points.

I enjoyed debating with you and perhaps we can do it again sometime. I would like that very much.
