Too god d*mned many devices

well for audio, if ur an audiophile go with a cowon product, otherwise go with an ipod touch/iphone or an android smartphone

and the internet will never die, it will only expand

Here it is 6 months later, half way through 2011 and I had thought there might be more, but it is also possible I just stopped looking for them (new era hand held non game devices akin to the iPad.

The Xoom still seems 'neat' but at 600 bucks, it represents a lot of models I would not be buying too

I finally broke and bought a cheap ass got it at Canadian Tire on sale audio playing option for music on the go. Listened to it the other day on the way to the mall and it made for a very pleasant walk as well. Cheap ass unit, and schlock ear buds. But the music was ok, and that is really all I wanted. I can load some pictures the likes of which normally might sit in a guys wallet. This is the wife, the cat, the son, my favourite model, what my hobby room looks like. Chances of me watching video on it, nearly zero (not worth the effort to find a way to load it.

Since I turfed 4th edition D&D my need of a laptop at my role games has fizzled as I no longer need access to the Character Builder program. Still liking having my laptop though (using it now actually). I went and got the pdf files for my Warhammer downloads printed out. I am finding playing with books again is actually ok. And WFRP has few books needed too which is nice as well.

But I am still feeling overwhelmed by tech. I guess that is something I will suffer with due to my age.
In recent time though, thanks to largely curing myself of bad idea in the first place forums (that I had been on for years in some cases), I have been soooo much more active in making my models (entirely non tech thankfully). It has been nice being in the hobby room with the computer actually OFF.

Whether I am right or wrong in my thoughts regarding the 3DS the Wii U the Vita and all the adult hand held cash sponges is hard to say. But it has been nice learning to just not care about them as much in recent months.
