Thrift Store Pickups #???

I've stopped counting. All the thrift stores were closed for a long time and I haven't entered one for 4 or 5 months. So this time, I came back with the following:

  • World of Warcraft
  • World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
  • World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Ice King
  • SEGA Rally Championship 2
and a game that looked so shit that I had to pick it up:
  • Vakantie Racer (Holiday Racer)
Might play Holiday Racer on stream someday. So far, I realized too late that WoW subscriptions still apply so I can only install the game, IF I can even get the game disc out without outright breaking it in half.

If anyone knows how to get discs from these tabs, let me know. I've tried for 10 minutes with no luck at all. And as for SEGA RC2, I can tell it's an early 2000 PC rerelease because I love entering settings that were made with dyslexia in mind.

alright thanks for looking at this quick blogpost about hardwear settings and me trying to get the first installation disc of WoW out.

Exciting to know thrift stores are opening back up. I know most near me have been ruined by ebay sellers for a while, but they used to be great for finding random old gaming crap at. Nice haul!

@Chary don't think this is for long, as the amount of cases starts increasing once again, which probably means another lockdown and another night of hooligans raiding Rotterdam for no reason.

Also still didn't get the first install disc for WoW out which I probably can't even play to begin with without a subscription.

Turns out all files for WoW get replaced anyway by the Battle.net launcher. Fuck.
Well at least I found a way to get the discs out.

That doesn't even matter anymore either, because this build of the game is SO OLD (specifically a copy that was pressed 2 entire weeks after the game's launch) that Battle.net doesn't even detect it from my client, meaning all I can get is a trial that lasts who-knows-how-long instead of the 20 promised quests.

One account creation and patch later, I'm in a private server, unknowing if I can use the expansions later.
