Think I'm starting to see why everyone's leaving.

Well, from what I've read, it seems to be all the idiots that have recently joined (hope people aren't talking about me) and now I'm noticing them everywhere, and I can see why heaps of people are leaving, sad though, GBAtemp's slowly dying. =(

GBAtemp is hardly dying, that's just what a few specific tempers would like to think.

i don't really hate noobs in particular, just the ones that are so idiotic that they don't read the rules and ask for ROMs on the scene releases threads

I don't reccomend people (who I meet from other forums) come here anymore because soo many regular tempers complain about helping noobs and/or are just rude to noobs

That pretty much sums it up.

And its just a handful of people who left. A few like Hadrian for legitimate reasons, others are just fad followers.

if they hack their wii's/ds's now they'll will need more and more help, when there are newer releases, and the more they become, the more the questions will become noobish.

Well, the whole noob thing goes two ways. There are the ones who actually need help and the ones who fail to read the rules.
I prefer to actually help the ones who need real help, not roms.
