You're hacking a system, with your avatar being the character on the bottom of the screen, and the enemies being the system's defense forces. It's all kind of abstracted, admittedly.

I own Rez on like three different platforms, can confirm it's amazing. Perfect VR implementation in Rez Infinite too.

IIRC it's first or third person, controlling the camera with your head is very freeing either way. I should fire it up again soon.
